Great attitude, great teammate..........................man I want to resign him and keep this whole running thing going but if he wants $7 or $8 mill a year, I just don't know.

If he wants that kind of coin...see ya big fellow! lol

If he is a team player and wants to stay and help his fellow Cowboys win a SB, I hope he stays for what was offered.

I mean, damn! These football playing fools are already richer than most CEO's of rich companies! lol

Oh he's willing? So he's going to let the team play him as they see fit?

This is great news.

I think what he's trying to say is..

for other players in his situation..

it might be harredeeming for him.

up the carries thus increasing the yardage in pursuit of personal goals.

The fact that he wants other players to benefit as he has is totally redeeming

I think we will land him with a multi year contract somewhere in the 5 to 6 mil per year range.

4 years 22 mil. Calling it now. I just don't see us letting him get away. We have more pressing needs and rb doesn't need to rejoin the "need" list.

That's my boy! For the record, I personally believe our best set is with Demarco in there but its nice to know he's humble about it. His blitz pickup is a cut above any other rb on the roster. Don't believe me? Watch the Texans game replay. Randle's alleged blitz pickup will make your blood pressure shoot through the roof.

DeMarco Murray is leading the league in rushing by a pile, but the Cowboys want to be smart with his workload.

But Murray said Friday he’s fine with that, and will happily accept whatever role the team wants him to play, even if that means Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar carrying the ball more often.

I think they know what’s best for the team,” Murray said, via Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “It’s hard during a game to come out, but those are two good guys that we trust, and we know what they can do. Whatever they feel is necessary to help us win.”

Murray’s playing so well, it’s easy to be tempted to leave him out there. He already has 130 carries, on pace to tie the league’s all-time record of 416 set by Larry Johnson. But he’s also doing other things, as he’s played 280 of the Cowboys’ 348 offensive snaps (80.5 percent).

“Whatever they ask me to do — running catching, blocking — I look forward to it,” Murray said.

If the Cowboys want to beat the Seahawks this week, they’d be wise to lean on him. But if they are to cling to their current form over the course of the season, they might be better served to find him a break occasionally.

The humble fumbler. Great!
No way they sign him for more than 4 million.

Is that blood on his gloves? That's what a football player looks like.

Nothing against Randle but I have seen Demarco stone guys Watt's size. Randle pulled a Jenkins there. ;) Well not quite but almost.

I actually like all four of our RBs but only one of four is complete.

I think a RB going one on one with Watt and the QB not getting sacked is a win. If your RB is stonewalling Watt, he's probably playing the wrong position.

Wait till after the season to give this guy an extension. That's what they should have done with Sean Lee. If I recall correctly, Lee's contract was up at the end of the season and they gave him an extension during the season, and he ended up getting hurt a few weeks later (correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember it going something like this). I feel the same way about Murray. This is a guy who, in three seasons in the NFL, averaged 12 games a season and only got 14 carries a game. And we're expecting him to maintain 26 carries a game throughout an entire 16 game season (and possibly more if we make the playoffs)? And even if he does do it this year, will a 500 carry season (as opposed to his 200 carry seasons in the past) wear him out for future seasons? Too many times we see a guy have 2-3 great years and then fall off the face of the Earth. And considering Murray's durability issues, it wouldn't be surprising to see it happen to him. I say wait till after the season, and even if he gets 400+ carries this season, don't give him anything more than a 2-3 year contract (even if it's at mega money).
