What they needed: Defensive line, offensive line, safety, running back, wide receiver.

Where they hit: Frederick will be an immediate starter along the interior of the offensive line, likely at center. Given the Cowboys’ line issues, he was a need pick. Wilcox also has a chance to play early, given the Cowboys’ muddled picture at safety. Moreover, Randle could see some snaps in Year One; he has a real chance to be DeMarco Murray’s backup.

Down the road, Williams could eventually replace Miles Austin or Dez Bryant in the Cowboys’ lineup. Austin is $5.5 million in 2014 and about $6.9 million in 2015, per Rotoworld figures. Also. Bryant will be a free agent after the 2014 campaign.

Overall, this could be a fairly useful draft class for Dallas.

Where they missed: The Cowboys didn’t add a single defensive lineman — a real surprise.

Replace Dez Bryant??????? That makes ZERO Sense....

I hate to be 'that guy', but if Bryant trips up again with some off the field incident, then I can see us letting him go.

I hope that never happens and he really just seems to be a good kid usually found in the wrong place at the wrong time, but you never know...

It would have to be a huge off the fiels issue. Williams was drafted to take over for austin. As far as d line goes every fan and teleivison "expert" said dl was a need. Kiff said it wasn't. Ill go with kiff on this til proven other wise. I shouldn't say every fan cause there were a few that didn't think dl was a need. Good call.

Like Jerry did when he got Callahan, he appears to be doing with Kiffin. Jerry ignored any real upgrades on O-line expecting coaching alone to upgrade the O-line when he hired Callahan. He is now for the most part ignoring defense and hoping Kiffin can coach the defense up.

It wasnt our biggest need but it is still a need. 4 startes at or over 30 years of age.

We often wait to long to find replacements and it ends up biting us. That said, there was no way we were going to address every need in one draft or off season.
