Unless you were there you need to stop acting like you are some mr superior morals and I'm sure we all don't care if some random person on here doesn't engage. Y'all have to really get a hold of how unimportant we are to each other on here.

I don't think I'm important at all. My time, however, is important to me. So I'm particular about who I spend it on here.

Meanwhile........

Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Piven, Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, James Toback, Mark Halperin, Bill O'Reilly, Bill Clinton, George HW Bush,Trump, Bill Cosby, Tiger Woods......

And dozens, if not hundreds more, soon to be revealed. Hollywood is said to have a RAMPANT pedophilia problem, and an even worse sexual harassment problem. The news media is a salacious pit of goo. Professional sports truly is housing a long lists of miscreants.

The world is an ugly place right now, and all forms of entertainment are collapsing from within. There's this massive cleansing/purge going on which was long overdue.

Zeke got the brunt of this overreaction, but the NFL is apparently trying to separate itself from this growing swell of disgust in proper society. That's where most of the revenue stream comes from.

We've reached a tipping point on so many fronts.

I was trying to follow the rules. You can add a whole bunch of people to that list from DC. Dozens.

I was helping your point:thumbup:

You can't make this stuff up. What a spit show.
Unfortunately, you don't have to make it up. It's straight out of a page from our lovely political system in Wash DC who's been playing by this rule book for years.

You're still on here so your "time" on here isn't that important one way or another. You should just be honest and say you don't want to see opinions that differ from yours. That I understand the other stuff sounds like garbage not that you care my view on it. Either way I think we will have to agree to disagree and we all will have a great day.

Elliott judge’s husband works for law firm that helped craft CBA

The judicial questionnaire signed by Judge Failla in June 2012 includes this statement and commitment: “My husband is a partner at the law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP. I would recuse myself from any cases in which Proskauer Rose is a party or is representing a party.
...

Again, Proskauer Rose wasn’t, and isn’t, actively representing the NFL in this case. However, Canon 2 of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges compels all federal judges to avoid not only impropriety but also the appearance of impropriety. From Canon 2: “An appearance of impropriety occurs when reasonable minds, with knowledge of all the relevant circumstances disclosed by a reasonable inquiry, would conclude that the judge’s honesty, integrity, impartiality, temperament, or fitness to serve as a judge is impaired.”

Would a reasonable mind conclude that Judge Failla’s impartiality is impaired by the past and apparently ongoing business relationship between the NFL and Proskauer Rose, especially when the very document at issue in the case is the document Proskauer Rose helped the NFL craft?

This is clearly prejudicial.

How can a spouse legislate against her husband and his firm in a legal matter like this.

It would seem appropriate to disclose this and requise herself from the action.

I would ask for a ruling on that.

This whole thing is just horribly flawed.

Regardless if the CBA has the right by the agreement to make the decision..

its all based of flawed legal grounds.

Time to revisit the NFLs status as a monopoly and look at the Anti-Trust laws.

Seems to me the NFL was granted a number of years back a motion by the courts to exempt them on Anti-Trust laws.

To be benching the best player in the league over this is insane.

Zeke is going to sue the NFL for attempting to ruin his career.

I do not see how the NFL has the power to overturn legal findings that two police depts. refused to proceed against.

That's just not how the legal system is supposed to work.

Being their own judge and jury in closed proceedings is not fair to Zeke.

Nobody gets to cross examine the accuser except the NFL?

He needs to bring a lawsuit against his accuser and let's get an open court going.

Get them Zeke.

We'll hold the fort down.

Don't be too long with this.

The problem will be if they are asked if they knew about it beforehand as some judges will say if they did, they should have said something before the ruling if they had a problem with the judge. It really comes down to when (or if) they knew this and which judge reviews their appeal.

See, them being aware of this prior to ruling actually shouldn't have any barring on the case. In truth, the judge should have recused herself immediately as she fully well knew of the conflict of interest. As a matter a fact, there should be an investigation into her actions here.
