News: PFT: Giants' Cam Skattebo carted off with serious injury

The very reason an NFL player should get his money when the opportunity presents itself. Feel bad for him but he can rebound. This game can be unforgiven at times.
always crazy when ppl argue for discounts. It's their careers . If Goldman Apple Google, etc asked me to take a discount I'd be out the door.

wanted this guy in the draft. love his passion and the way he plays. hope for a 100% recovery for this guy.

I hope it was his leg and not his ankle. If it was just a leg break, he should recover. Ankle injuries can be really tough. It looked bad.

Terrible play by the Eagles defender and completely unnecessary . The NFL won't care though because it's not head-related. They won't get lawsuits because of it.

Did the Iggles fans cheer the injury like they did when Michael Irvin went down??

I've been saying it for years, the NFL needs to ban that Steer Wrestling type of "tackling". That is no where close to how one is taught how to "tackle".
Was it a 'hip drop'? I'm having trouble finding a good video. From the videos I did see, it looked like the Iggs defender may have launched his weight onto Skattebo's legs, which is supposed to already be a banned play. We'll see what the NFL thinks, though. Iggs (and the 9ers too) always seem to get away with crap like that

The way the Iggs player got up and quickly walked away, he knew what he had just done.

Yes, it was an illegal "tackle". That player should be banned the rest of the season.

I had a feeling he would get hurt this year. He plays with a reckless abandon and we've seen how this usually ends on a player's body.

I liked him. But this type of play hits hard on longevity.

Except that he was catching a pass and it looks like the defender launched his full weight onto the back os Skattebo's legs. His running style had nothing to do with the injury he received.

Darts reaction made me sick to my stomach...this game can be heart breaking.

Skattebo was taken to the ground while attempting to catch a pass and his right foot and ankle bent very awkwardly. It was an ugly sight and teammates were getting emotional, knowing that Skattebo is likely out for a very long time.
The cart came out for Skattebo, a large cast was placed on his right lower leg, and his teammates came to embrace him as he was taken off the field.

Really hate to hear that. Division rival, but I don't like to see any player seriously injured, especially one just getting started.
Ouch. Poor guy. I hope he recovers well.

I literally see 3 to 5 posters in here rooting for injuries to happen to opponents every game we play

Already seen 2 on the game thread suggest going for Nix's knees... but then put "LOL" at the end.

Was one you?

Elan just flat out sucks. He doesn’t want to tackle on the edge
