I have never EVER seen a player on the field watch the interception happen and immediately put his hands on his hips and proceed to amble off of the field.
Putting hands on hips I'll give you. But there are many players that fake jog or just stay on the ground. It's a normal play to see guys dog it on interception returns. How many times have you watched guys not involved in the play? It's rare to see it on camera it's only ever pointed out when a controversy is trying to be stirred.

You're talking to someone who defends everything jerry does. Don't waste your time

Please don't bore the rest of us with your ridiculous interpretations of what I've said in previous arguments about Jerry Jones. We both know what you're saying is untrue, and we've been down this path before.

I don't see pointing out that effort was low across the board, including on Zeke's part, is much of a defense of anything.

He is saying Zeke shouldn't take all the blame for the lack of effort last week, but that's a fair thing to say.

Some players lacked a hell of a lot more effort than others, man.

How can he not be involved in the play when he was the closest guy on his feet to the interception? He wasn't involved because he chose not to be. I mean, this fool didn't even fake jog!

No doubt. On that play in particular, Zeke was completely loafing.

But the real issue Sunday wasn't just Zeke's effort on that one play. And it's not helpful to the team to let one star player be the lightening rod for criticism when he's already the center of attention for other reasons. Let the blame go where it belongs here: on everybody.

Well firstly, I would have had my team better prepared. The fact that the coach IGNORED the altitude and the ramifications of that blows my mind. Total moron. Having said that, when the team as a whole sucked I would berate the whole team but I would save an especially dire ***-chewing for Elliott and his shenanigans.

I would, too. He definitely deserved it.

That's not going to happen between the owner and the press, though. Those types of discussions are handled internally in Dallas these days. If Bill Parcels were coach, we'd probably get a sound bite or two this week, but that's not how Garrett operates.

One of Jerruh's problems is that he always tries to make even simple thoughts or sentiments some long, drawn-out, deep and cogent pontification about the subject.

Sometimes "We will discuss that as a team in the next few days" is the way to go.

Jerry needs to **** with issues like these. Half the time, he's just making delicate coaching situations harder by introducing his take as an owner where it's not helpful. And then starting the news cycle back up on something like this, where Garrett obviously wants it handled internally.

Why has this never been a big deal in the past? There are guys who dog it on many plays. Why is this now such a huge deal? Would you take Randy Moss on your team? Guy dogged it all the time? Would you take Deion Sanders? Would you take Suh? Woukd you take Peppers? These guys are known to have taken off plays but yet still some of the best players this game has seen. It happens. But now that it's a Cowboys player we all gotta go insane about it? I agree guys should never ever dog it. But it happens, it's happened it the past, it's going to happen in the future, it's going to happen this weekend. It's not uncommon for guys to not put out effort every single play. If we go insane about Zeke taking off every play we should be upset when anyone takes off on a given play.

He ran hard in week one. This week, everybody's a target. I'm waiting for the AZ game before deciding whether or not there's a trend.
This. The AZ game will hopefully tell the tale on how focused JG has them to play. All eyes will be on the players' body language throughout the game esp. if we're behind. If we see more film of disinterest to engage, we have a big problem.
Given it's a Monday night game, I'll be very surprised if any player loafs through.

It's because it happened with Zeke. Any other player and nobody cares about it at least not at this level.
