“I just know that I do expect a good report Monday,” Jones said. “I know that Tony is feeling better.”

Jones said that when Romo is deemed healthy, Dak Prescott will move down to No. 2 on the depth chart.

“Tony is our No. 1 quarterback. We’re going to have the luxury of being able to, I think, see them both,” he said. “I don’t want to presume that Dak is going to be necessarily healthy, I don’t want to presume anything like that. But I welcome the opportunity of having Dak playing at this level and Tony back in excellent health. It’s going to be really special for the Cowboys.”

So does that mean they are going to have some packages for Dak, even after Romo comes back?

My guess is we use the Romo injury as an excuse to keep him on the bench.

Maybe that came off the wrong way but he will be 100 percent healthy before we is ever active for this team again. We won't rush him out early like last season.

Then, and only then, will we know who our QB is down the stretch. Regarless, we will be in good hands.

I just wish that the stupid media would keep asking him the question. Dak is the QB now and we are on a roll. Romo won't be back for at least a couple of weeks so the question is moot.

Would be fine with me.
I think those two games in 5 days around Thanksgiving could be interesting too.

In any case, the team probably feels pretty good about the future at QB.

If Tony does great when he returns, they have Dak as backup now and starter later
If Romo is bad or gets hurt, they have Dak both now and later as starter

win-win
