PFT: Lions New Logo Accidentally Revealed

As Lions fans continue to ponder the possibilities regarding the uniform changes that their team will make in 2009 (it’s not as if it makes any sense for them to focus instead on whether the team will be any good), Philip Zaroo of Mlive.com has received from a reader evidence of the team’s new logo.

The image of the new logo appears at NFLShop.com, via a page that displays a $16.99 mini-tractor-trailer devoted to the Lions.

And it bears the new logo, along with the new design of the “Lions” name.

I am not sure about the lettering, but the Lion looks good. I like how they added detail instead of the lion just being a silouette

Upside down, the lettering spells SNOIT, and that's exactly what I will do with these unis.

I'm not sure why this has to be repeated. In the offseason, there is a little more latitude in posting NFL news. If we limited it as hard core as we did during the season, there would be very few new threads.

Should I post this in a sticky thread with big, bold letters to make that any clearer?

An accident?? You mean those changes were so top secret that the Lions didn't want to give anyone the heads up just yet??

You'd think they just gave up the recipe for Coca Cola or something. I probably wouldn't have even noticed the difference if they hadn't pointed it out.

Clearly whoever let that leak should be fired.
