According to Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Cowboys have signedlinebacker Martez Wilson, with hopes he can play some defensive end.

The former third-round pick of the Saints out of Illinois was cut after four games this year. An elbow injury in training camp set him back, and he never delivered on his pass-rush potential with the Saints. He spent three weeks with the Raiders but was released again last week.

The Cowboys cut defensive tackle Everett Dawkins to make room for him on the roster.

Feel like this is more of a Raiders scouting move but maybe we hit the jackpot on a guy teams are passing on. If he can help us win the next game just by giving up some of their defensive signals, not a bad signing.

At the post-game press conference, Tony said he didn't know anything about the Raiders. This is a good way to get him and everyone else up to speed.
