Malcolm Jenkins sides with Ezekiel Elliott in battle with NFL

Jenkins, who, like Elliott, attended Ohio State, serves as the players’ union representative for the Eagles.

“I never want to see anybody going through what Zeke is going through, especially when there are no charges against him,” Jenkins said, via
Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Daily News. “I don’t understand that.”

...

“Being in his division, you’re like, ‘Hey, it obviously helps us,’ but I want to go against their best players,” Jenkins said. “There’s no doubt he’s a huge piece of what they do offensively and why that team has had success. That’s not to say they can’t have success without him, but he’s a huge chunk.

...

“I think it’s because [the NFL] has now made a blanket statement when it comes to domestic violence and sexual assault,” Jenkins said. “Most of that is reactionary to the Ray Rice situation because that started with two games and then there was a huge uproar once the video came out and we have to be stronger. In doing that, there is collateral damage, and that damage is when you have guys that are in this gray area, and they get put into the blanket statement when they probably don’t need to be.”

He will be gone some keep talking about how he’s gonna get his extension. I’m not so sure this has turned into a full blown war.
I'm thinking the only owners that could possibly support this guy are the team owners that rely on revenue sharing which is the NFL's version of welfare.......the "money" teams which most of those are the drawing cards are now seeing that Goodell don't bring much to the table.

Well said, Malcolm Jenkins.

Now he’s a player I️ wouldn’t mind seeing in a Cowboys uniform.

What "gray area" is Zeke in? Someone accuses you and while you may not be guilty, you are now in a "gray area"? The NFL's own investigator found the complainant less than credible and recommended no punishment. That's all I need to know. There is no gray there.

That and I doubt he has much leverage in dealing with the networks. It will be one of the worst revenue deals the NFL will see with the new TV contracts when they come due because of him. So they better think long and hard about the future of the league with that **** at the Helm

I’m so freaking ready for a big name, poster-child player to side with Elliott on this. Watt. Brown. Fitzgerald. Brees. Anybody.

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

Any NFL player paying attention should be very disturbed and upset by what is happening to Zeke. If it can happen to a superstar like him, it can happen to literally any player. And all it takes is a jilted ex.

If they're smart they'll all start speaking out.
