I don't like the commercialism.

But maybe these patches would help counter claims that the Cowboys are soft.

I can just picture this in a future TV Guide:

think thats a bit unlikely. strips have been sponsored in soccer for decades and never had any worries of anything like that. if anything it would be the division that gets a name change. for example here we have the clydesdale bank scottish premier league or orange league 1 in france. in saying that i hate the sponsors on tops and often buy my celtic top without it, we are sponsored by a beer at the moment and due to muslims not being allowed by their religion to promote alcohol they have to make some shirts available without it. hopefully this doesn't happen as they jerseys definately look smarter without a sponsor. bizzarely over here there would be massive reactions at the thought of renaming the stadiums. guess its just what you're used to
anyway i just thought i'd offer some perspective from a fan of a club who have had sponsored jerseys for around 30 years

*Shrugs* I guess if they think it will make them some extra cash or whatever more power to them.

Extra money at the fans expense....guess who that advertisement cost gets passed on to....

Do you think the owners will lower prices, either tickets or concessions to offset the cost to the fans...no...

This is a sell out if they do this.

You saw the title right?

"PFT: NFL considering the possibility of adding corporate logos to practice jerseys"

We should worry about them adding the logos onto GAME JERSEYS when it comes to that, as of now, they aren't even talking about that. They are adding them to PRACTICE jerseys. Are you going to go buy a practice jersey anytime soon?

No I didn't see the title because I can't read....[\sarcasm off]

This is the first step to adding them to the regular seaon jersey's. It would be naive for anyone to consider otherwise, no matter what they say.

Still, the corporations will be paying the NFL to do this, and it won't be cheap.

Normally it wouldn't bother me, but sometimes, it is just too much.

Awesome, the NFL - Nascar Football League.

This post brought you by the people at GE - we bring good things to life

Yep.

They might as well add them to the game day uni. Thats where they are going anyway.

They are just greasing the slide instead of dry run.

The NFL just wants some of the bailout money. That's all this is. Can't blame Goodell for that ;)
