Alright Plummer, crawl back into your hole for three more years. I loved your movie. You know, the one about the guy living on the broke down school bus in the middle of nowhere. You may not like how it ends Jake.

weak players always blame the coaches and the schemes.

A smart man once said that and I should know I am the president of his fan club.

Or the coaches could just suck, and the players are rightfully expressing it...

Well yes, your right. Steve Young and John Elway always raved about how much mike shanhan sucked.

Didnt they?

What has Shanahan done for us lately? Oh yeah, that's right... Collapse in December and not make the play-offs... What has he done since Elway, probably the greatest QB to play the game, and TereLL Davis left... That's right not much... He's been mediocre... And what Plummer says correlates with what exactly the statistics say... Shanahan's style OVER TIME wore out...

okay, but I dont recall young or elway saying he sucked. It was just the opposite.

But I will take your word for it, your just going to tell me I am wrong again in the next post anyway.

Did I say Shanahan 'sucked'. Your argument is that players who lame coaches use it as an excuse, which is plain BS. Players can blame coaches for many reasons, among them sucking.

Plummer said Shanahan's style became old, and it correlates exactly with the record, no matter how much you deny it. You've got nothing. Mike Shanahan had a worse collapse than Wade did, and Wade doesn't have total control over the team. He doesn't coach the offense, which is what sucked.

see I told you.

I might as well respond to your posts with stuff that has nothing to do with the topic.

Like you say shanhan sucks and the players are calling him on it.

and I say

Ninjas are hunting me at night and making me nervous.

the response would be the same.

Did anyone else know that John Elway's career QB rating was 79.9?

I did not know that. Interesting.

Plummer is a LOSER. My God these guys with their school girl grudges...he probably went over and soaped Shanny's windows after he was cut. He couldn't play anymore: everyone saw it including Shanahan and he traded him to Tampa as I recall. But of course, Jake quit in a huff. This guy should be checked for testes: pretty sure he doesn't have any.

“It’s hard on a team,” Plummer said. “We were 7-2 at one point my last year and we came out of a meeting with our heads bowed and we were all just sulking around like we had just been berated for not putting up 40 points, for not leading the league in offense, for not creating enough turnovers.”

“It was a weird style to be coached that way. It really took it out of you as a player. I’ve been on 2-7 teams that had better attitudes coming out of team meetings than oftentimes when we came out of team meetings after Shanahan felt a need to motivate us even more.”

You mean a guy who retires in the prime of his career to go play professional handball is just happy being "good enough" and doesn't like to be pushed to greatness? This is unpossible !!!

Aikman said roughly the same thing about Jimmy Johnson once - that him staying on as Dallas' coach wouldn't have necessarily meant more SB wins because his style wore out players mentally.

Big deal.

Don't PM me death threats when I say this but: sure hope Romo doesn't go down the same road Plummer did. Before you guys get all pissed and go off on me think real hard about not only what he's done (yeah, I mean Cabo) but what he's said relative to losing not being the worst thing that will ever happen in his life.

I'm not traditionally a huge critic of Romo's, but the facts are what they are and he needs to step up in a huge way next year and LEAD. Something Plummer wouldn't know one f'ing thing about. That's why I'm glad Romo is at least seeking someone out like Aikman that can clue him in on how to get it done. If he succeeds it will be in spite of, certainly not because of any help he gets from this coaching staff and organization. He has to step up, figure it out and inspire some other guys to join him or it will be too late. (the window for this team is closing from an age standpoint like it or not)Hopefully Reeves can be of some help.
