Resigning Hardy would take greatly assist in your 3rd point and have to snatch a back in mid rds that can rotate and hopefully start by the end of the year taking the bulk of carries over both McF and Morris; I know that's more of a pipe dream.

Yah, I would be more inclined to do that if he was a monster and he were that one piece away. I just dont see us being there and he was a disappointment.

I agree..... the moon and stars have to align for us.....

I will be watching "coaching" this year.... I don't expect a SB run, but I do expect us to be competitive against the stronger teams. I think we should win the East, unless NY does what NY does from time to time, or one of those NFCE teams "gets in the zone".....like Carolina did. I don't think Carolina repeats that season, and I'm not sure they have the talent to keep up. I see them as a playoff team, but not even close to the juggernaut they became....

But I want to see a better "overall" product on the field............. a more stout, ,mentally stronger, better coached team. If that happens, and we get some FA signings, and some draft picks pan out, and some luck....maybe we can make a run for a SB in the following season....But we need to start building for that, at some point, during this season.........

Im not sure how long I can give JG...................................

IF Carolina can add a dynamic runner, they will be unstoppable. And they get their best WR back this year. The rookie from a year ago that is 6-5 and took the NFL by storm that year. And lets not forget they will be smarting from losing in the SB. Plenty of motivation.

Love the warrior in Romo and the true gamer he is. Kills me to say this but one injury (especially back and shoulders) will have an effect on other parts of the body. He's going to have to learn how to fall to protect those areas and at some point like the Philadelphia game and the tackle that injured him, he'll have no choice. He was legally wrapped up and jammed into the turf.
What do you think every opposing D Coordinator will advise their defenses to do in 2016? Blitz him, hit him, put him on the ground even at the cost of an early penalty or TD. They are going to ride him and test him until Romo proves he's healthy enough to finish. If Romo is out of the game, chances are much higher that we lose and everybody (esp) the opposing defenses know this.
I know everyone of us will be cringing every time he hits the ground. If he can get through the whole season healthy enough to play in January, it will be a miracle.
Yes I'll be praying for a miracle but I'm also looking at a viable exit strategy which is to pick a QB with the 4th pick.

Agreed on all of it.

True enough. Lots of things to be excited about in Carolina.....I just dont think they can match this last season they had......I dont think they get close and will have to fight it out with some other team for their division.

I am predicting they are the 2014 version of the Dallas Cowboys...... a lot aligned for them; It wont happen again.

Hmmmm..............I am going to have to disagree on that one. I think they are coming of age. Newton maturing at the right time and as long at that defense stays healthy they will be as tough as ever in my opinion. Run game was the only real thing they were lacking last year to be a complete team.

The sequences of eight binary bits defined by your statement were compiled, executed and pushed to stdout where they were interpreted using views and replicated for each user process.

I have skills too :D

I might have given this post a "Like" if I knew what the hell it meant...:D

When you go 1-11 with 3 backup QBs that's a good indication that the rest of the team isn't stepping up. Weeden had some good statistical games and led us on a last ditch drive against New Orleans to get to OT and our defense didn't allow our offense one opportunity with the ball. We lost 2 OT games in which our offense never got the chance to step on the field because our defense couldn't make a damn stop. Kellen Moore put up 435 yards and 3 TD's against Washington in the season finale and the Cowboys still lost. If there was ever a season where the team better step up and help Romo it's in 2016 or we won't have him much longer.

Agree. They play a lot tougher schedule this year and everyone will be ready for them this time. And you have to wonder if the Denver defense at least provides some idea of how to approach that offense.

No I don't see us as a contender this year. If we have a good offseason next year i think we could be in contention for the 2017-18 season. Just think it will be a good season to watch and I think romo will stay healthy for the most part.

It's silly to think in terms of this.

Coming off a 12-4 season we added 3 consensus 1st round talents (with some saying Randy without the weed was top 5 on talent alone and Collins was projected top 15).

We also added the best free agent outside of Suh.

We finished 4-12.

People exaggerate their ability to project who is a contender and who isn't.

What we do know is that a healthy Romo means we will be in any game we play.

That sounds like a contender to me.

I agree with some of what you said. We are not as good as we were in 2014. Randy is basically a rookie again. We downgraded at DE but upgraded at dt. I don't see this team as capable of making a run this year. It'll be tough to even win the division with a healthy romo

I dont think Romo is as fragile as some think, he could easily play every game.

They just need to deal with the guys who come thru unblocked on delays!!!!!!
Thats been going on for years now.
Shorter routes throw to RB etc would also help.
But to me those unblocked guys coming in are the main problem.

They won't have enough impact this season to put Dallas over the hump.

It can if we get the turnovers
The biggest difference last year was our tremendous drop in turnovers from the year before. If we can bounce back there then the defense can be decent. We didn't have much better roster just got many more turnovers. Without the turnovers though you are right

Well that is better than not winning the east??
All I expect is for Dallas to make the playoffs, and win the first game, thats all, anything more than that is icing on the cake.

I didn't say contender to win the NFCE. I meant that game in 2017. IF you disagree with what I said please elaborate.

Downgraded at DE from 214? We had Mincey and Selvie as starters that year. People are badly misremembering 2014.

It is better then not winning the East, but I wouldn't define that as being a "contender" in the context its being used. I think , in this context, most people think of contender as being defined as "a team that has a good chance at winning the Super Bowl."

the cowboys could win the east but they will be one and done in the playoffs anyteam from the east will be that way the nfc on nfl.com is rated as the worst division in football and the afc north the best. this defense has to get fixed to even consider them in contention. they are good enough to beat the bad teams and not good enough to beat the good teams.

Downgraded from 2015. Also have injured DT and DE starting. No depth on the dl or lb core either.
