TROUBLE PREDICTED FOR PACMAN

Though Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones has stayed out of trouble long enough to secure full reinstatement to the NFL, one league source with knowledge of the situation in Dallas has expressed to us an opinion that Pacman is on the path to more problems.
“My money is Pacman gets in trouble by Week Six,” the source opined, explaining that Pacman has been going out to clubs and “acting like a fool” during the past few weeks.
The challenge for the Cowboys will be to protect Pacman from himself for as long as Pacman is on the team. To date, the Cowboys have been generally successful in this regard; they’re still the only team in the NFL that hasn’t had an incident involving the long arm of the law since we started tracking arrests on a daily basis.
Then again, maybe they’re due.

Wow. Wonderful. They're predicted he'll screw up quickly. Probably exactly what they were saying about TO three years ago as well, only in an on the field sense, rather then off the field legal issues.

he certainly does not seem as quiet and humble as he did when he first got to Dallas. Neither does Tank. Quite frankly, I am a little concerned that Tank is being looked to as a leader. I mean when I think about all the guys the Cowboys have drafted and given big money too....they don't have the ability, confidence, or stones to lead? Part of that is because of the environment Parcells cultivated, where he was the single and only voice. But I personally would like this team to be lead by Ware, Barber, Newman, Romo, Witten, James....these guys can play, they are life time Cowboys (maybe not James)...and they are solid individuals.

There is always a possibility that Jones screws up. Until he makes it through the full year we won't know for sure. Fortunately even if he does screw up Dallas has positioned themselves well to be able to handle his absence. I would not put it past Jones to screw up.

I do think it is pretty irresponsible for a league official to leak something like this even if it was only anonymously. It also sounds a little made up. Although I don't think Jones has earned the right not to be questioned, if he really has been going out to clubs then it would have been reported somewhere. No way something like that goes unmentioned until now. I am sure local reporters have more a grasp on what Jones has been doing in his free time than the league has unless they hired some local PI to follow Jones around. There are also a ton of Cowboys fans out there. If Jones was acting a fool, he had to be spotted by someone that would post it on a blog or message board.

I'm sure your right. And you know for certain that they would use that information to create as big a disturbance as they could. They love to take even small stories and make them into as big a distraction for the team as they can.

Anybody who thinks it's not a possibility that Jones messes up this year is being naive. I know people do change, but a lot more people stay the same than change.

That being said, typical garbage spewing by Florio. Problem being that he does sometimes get good inside tips (although the ratio of BS to inside tips is probably skewed against his favor), so you're never sure what to trust or not.
