Seems appropriate. You've been last 3 times during the Snyder era and that is competing against our most dismal period, the Campo years. Only one division title and it was the team Snyder inherited from John Kent Cooke.

10-6
8-8

Those are the Snyder years.

76-84 overall. 8-8 might be considered a good year.

I knew he hadn't done well but I didn't realize it was that bad. Dang. Long live Danny Boy. May he reign the rest of my life as he does now.

How is it a rivalry if one guy keeps getting beat up over and over and over again? It would take 9 straight years of season sweeps for them to even up the series.

16 divisional titles to their 6.

8 Super bowl appearances to their 5.

Truth be told though, the Boys don't have a much better record in that period. Snyder also has a much better record in the playoffs in that period (in that we won something). Just saying.

That's fine though, I can understand people saying we will do poorly this year. We finished poorly and those things can hurt a team. You can't deny though, we have gotten better. Haynesworth for Ryan Boschetti. Orakpo for Demetric Evans / Marcus Washington. DeAngelo Hall (like him or not, he played very well for us). Dockery (whom most Cowboys fans on this site called him one of the best OL on the team when he left to Buffalo). We didn't really lose anybody of any real worth.

I couldn't agree more.. Their OL is old and often injured, their QB is extremely average and that's being nice, CP is declining, they have no WR's except Moss and he's a midget. On D they get absolutely no pass rush, their corners are overrated to me and DH is toast. I do like LF in the middle for them tho, he's a ball player but getting old. I see them finishing LAST again this year too...
Last year you predicted 3-13 for the Skins. Just saying.

That happens when the worst Head Coach in our History is the leader of 3 of those years. How'd he do Head to Head with you guys? 5-1 I believe. A full one third of his wins are against the Commanders.

Truth be told.

Ah, the good old on paper we got better.

I agree, you did. You also possibly demoralized the QB you traded up to take, and that's only the most important position on the field.

Forgive me, I think last place in the NFC East is probably a given.

I see the same team that I saw last year . The Skins will play hard and with a lot of heart . They'll be in it until the end in every game , probably split their games in the NFC East , and finish last in the division again .

I like the Haynesworth move , and think Orakpo is the real deal , but they have nothing on offense other than Portis and a unhappy QB . Stop Portis and you stop the Skins .

The Skins problem is a lack of pass rush and production at QB.

They tried to upgrade at QB this off-season but couldn't and Orakpo may be a solid DE one day but asking him to fix the pass rush as a rookie is an enormous task that will surely fail. Orakpo had less production in the Big 12 than did the Cowboys 4th round draft pick, Brandon Williams, and BW is only 21 years old.

they're banking on Haynesworth opening things up for everyone

he might, and he might not, because guys like Kyle Vandenbosh, that he had in Tennessee, weren't slouches, and we don't know anything about Orkapo, he has a 50% chance of being a bust

Think about it dude, when was the last time he has ripped off a long run for 6. Maybe not since his very first carry as a Foreskin. Dude is fading fast..

I hate the Commanders but, fading fast?

Last year he almost hit 1,500 yards, 9 TDs. 4.3 YPC and didn't miss a game. In every game but 1 (vs. the Giants) he had a longer carry than 6. 9 of those games he had one over 20. The guy is still a very, very good RB.

If trends hold true, a couple of these teams will either improve drastically or even make the playoffs. It is fairly rare that preseason picks for the basement finish exactly as conventional wisdom suggests.

he's getting near the wall that RBs 28 years old and over hit, and has alot of tread on his tires

yes, it's just an assumption, but it will probably happen to Portis, sooner, rather than later

That's why I love how the Commanders have done under Snyder's tenure.

Never bad enough to blow it up. Just close enough to keep false hope alive year after year and the idea that they. are. just. one. more. free. agent. away. A lot of noise, but nothing but spinning wheels in the mud virtually every year.

It puts a smile on my face every offseason.
