In the end, I think you have to root for the Eagles, because an Eagles win knocks out the Giants and narrows the field. If that happens, though, the Cowboys will lose the division.

im pulling for the eagles

if we win our gm we have a chance to take a 2 gm lead over the giants in the division and they become less off a concern

we still play philly the last game of the yr so it makes more sense to root for them to win

if we should lose then i guess the giants

cause the giants winning would put us all in a 3 way tie at 8-5, with us in 2nd place

if we lose and philly wins we fall to 3rd place

Well, we can't lose from that game. Even a tie helps us. And I think Was will be trouble for the Gmen. My one worry is that MN will not play its regulars for that game and give the Giants a win.

it doesn't matter if we don't take care of business and beat the chargers

Who do we want to win? I'm too blinded by hate to figure it out myself.

Most def the Eagles. The Giants have swept us, and own the tiebreaker.

If we beat Philly the last game of the year, we own the tiebreaker with them. Therefore we want as many Giants losses as possible, and we'll worry about Philly when we get to them.

you're expecting us to beat San Diego?

I'm certainly not expecting us to lose. So does that give you an answer?

Going into the last game we can be a game back of the Eagles. We win that game and we win the divison.(head to head vs Eagles) Giants own all the tie breakers vs the Cowboys so we need the Gmen to go down and go away, incase we end up fighting for a wild card.

What he/she said.......

The fact that we get to play the Eagles the last week makes me lean towards wanting the Giants to just go away for good.

This is a big IF..but if we beat the Chargers this week, we can still lose to New Orleans but we HAVE to beat Washington.

That will make us a game behind Philly, (assuming they win their next 3 games) heading into week 17.

Here's the part where it's concerning.....

We HAVE to beat Philly in a "win and your in" type game.

I would rather the Giants win because I want to keep a 1 game buffer between us and the other NFC East teams.

Oh and I think this is Cowboys related, so I am moving it to the Fan Zone.
Agreed. Giants winning is the best option.

I don't really think it matters. Our team has no heart, no discipline and no brain.

I feared that our team had no HEART last year. When we went to Philadelphia for the last game of the season, with everything on the line, against a hated rival and absolutely refused to even put up a fight...it was confirmed. Jerry Jones and co. made Terrell Owens the scapegoat for all the teams woes and said goodbye to his 30-some receiving touchdowns over the last three seasons.

Our deficiency in the DISCIPLINE department is well documented. We annually lead or are near the top of the league in penalties. Excessive penalties will beat you everytime. Flozell Adams has the blood of several offensive drives on his hands, alone. Adams couldn't have played for the Cowboys when Jimmy Johnson was here. When you factor in the rest of the team it illuminates the reality that this team lacks discipline...discipline that should be instilled by a strong Head Coach with the firm backing of the team's Owner.

Which brings me to BRAINS. The hierarchy of the whole Cowboys franchise is totally screwed up. Jerry Jones would rather serve his immense ego than winning. The harder he tightens his fingers around the power in this organization the more the success he truly desires slips through his fingers. How else can you explain some of his maneuvering? He hires an offensive coordinator before he hires the head coach then, saddles that head coach with said offensive coordinator. Yes, he's won 3 Super Bowls in his two decades of owning the team but he's also singlehandedly chased 3 potential HOF coaches out of Dallas with his constant meddling. Replacing guys like Johnson and Parcells with guys like Switzer and Phillips is just NOT good business. Instead of hiring qualified applicants he tends to hire more sycophants and yes men so that when things go sour they can be the fall guy and Jerry can bear no accountability.

Take a look around fellow Cowboy brethren. Look at the last five Super Bowl winners for example. None of their organizations are set up with one person being the owner, proprietor, general manager, executive CEO, offensive consultant, peanut vendor, defensive consultant, or whatever role Jerry chooses to play at any given time. If you look at how we're set up as an organization we are a lot more like the Raiders or the Browns than any of the last five champs.

Hell, if anyone takes up a collection for a bulletin board in Dallas, I'm in...

Bold, underline, and italics really struck home with me. I'm angry now!
