If only we got to play Kansas City and Oakland. Twice. Each. And Denver was also lousy not too long ago. The Cowboys have had it a lot tougher. I wonder how the Cowboys would've fared in the AFC West over the last three years.

they're in the afc west... think about it...

But when I brought up the fact that 7 of our wins have come against losing teams, I was told by...well, everyone here that a win is a win is a win, regardless of how it looks or who it came against.

Are we going to now say that competition DOES matter now that it suits our argument?

You misread the thread. The comparisons are in scheduling over the last 14 to 15 December contests. The Chargers' opponents in their 15-0 run have been re-runs of Kansas City, Oakland, and Denver, with games against Arizona, Seattle, St. Louis, and other below-average football teams.

Dallas has typically had games against the NFC East, along with other tough opponents like Baltimore & Pittsburgh.

It was merely a comparison of how scheduling may have more to do with the Cowboys' "December Woes" than most would like to believe.

I really don't know why you even bother. You are better off speaking Spanish to a Chinese.

You'd think the anti-Romo would've at least won a Superbowl. All on his own too. With no help from anyone else.

That's right. Quarterbacks, all on their own, win and lose games. No one else on the team wins or loses. Only the quarterback.

Ah, so the strength of competition only matters in December...the month in which we struggle

Seem somewhat convenient, does it not?

After all, I didnt see many questioning this team when we were 6-2, despite gaining all but one of those wins over losing teams.

The cowboys are 1-4 against winning teams this year, so I guess you can put Dallas in the Oakland,Denver,Kansas city league. How did the cowboys play and do against those lousy teams this year.....The Chargers didn't just play those lousy teams in December. Division games are a different animal, ask the Steelers after last night about that, losing to a 1-11 team.. In big games in December, San Diego gets it done, Dallas doesn't, it's that simple

Let me ask you this:

Would you feel better about a team that is 8-4 going 1-4 against winning teams but 7-0 against losing, or a team that is 4-1 against winning teams but 4-3 against losing?

Are you saying losing to bad teams is a good thing? I don't understand what you're getting at.

I'm saying that ONLY beating bad teams could potentially be indicative of a very flawed team, especially when said team is 1-4 against winning teams.

I'm also saying that it is a hypocritical double standar to argue that any win is as good as another, and then argue that some losses are better than others. By the logic of most here, it shouldnt matter who we play or who SD plays in December, because since all wins are equal then all losses must be equal as well.

This, of course, is complete hogwash, but don't tell them that. Wins and losses are different, and who you beat and who you lose to does say a lot about your team.

So yes, SD has played easier December games, and their record should be expected to be superior. But 10 games better? I don't care who you play, that is a HUGE difference in the NFL. At some point, you have to sack up and beat good teams.

Ok, I see where you're coming from now. Fair enough.

Rivers is one of the very few QB's i'd even consider swapping Romo for. He is a warrior.

Your efforts are likely in vain. If the mob wants to hang someone, nothing is going to get in their way.

I love having Romo as our QB and really have nothing negitive to say about Rivers. I'm sure if Rivers was in Dallas people would be calling him out because of the 8-8 season he and his team had last year. Romo and the Cowboys went 9-7 and were trash.

That 8-8 team won a playoff game....
