Philly played it right

To their credit, we have to say, they did make the right decisions. Today you hear analysts saying, they should have gone for it on 4th and goal, instead of kicking that FG. Give them credit...

What had we done offensively at all that game? We put together 1 decent drive, which benefited from a big play. Their defense was playing real well, and they were running all over us. Why risk keeping it a 10 point game. (they held us right after the FG, and proceeded to take 4+min off the clock on their ensuing drive)

The part of the game that can be put on the Eagles is the drive that Williams intercepted McNabb. It's 2nd down and 7, Westbrook is averaging over 5YPC and Gordon over 4YPC. I dont know what prompts Philly to take that shot. I know they were trying to go for the jugular with the 1st down...bt this wasn't that type of game, you play it safe, not stupid. They had played there way back into the playoff picture, and changed it all on 1 play.

A play will may define the direction we take for the rest of this season.

I frankly don't have any problem if I'm an Eagles fan with the decision to pass. If you get a first down there, the game is over. You go for the throat. The fault lays in the play call, itself (an out pattern??) and McNabb's poor decision making.

The call reminded me of that horrible Ryan Leaf interception when we played them about 5 years ago, on an out pattern right before half time.

I would agree, except they ran so well against us, and therefor I would have tried to shorten up the potential 3rd down. 3rd and 2, play action, roll McNabb, put it away then. They gambled, they lost.
