Here are photos of the Joe Gibbs and Dan Snyder press conference from this afternoon, as well as shots of Commanders fans out at the Sean Taylor Fan Memorial located at Commanders Park. I'm not going to do a murf's take or anything like that today - instead I'm going to let the camera tell the story for you all. All I'll say is that after spending time out there today, I am truly proud to be a Commanders fan.

Thnx for the pics. I had the pleasure of meeting Gibbs a few times. I can tell you this guy puts his heart and soul into his players, especially those who have a troubled personal start in their careers.
That had to be the toughest PC he has ever done.

This picture got to me.....

ST015.JPG

Maybe people forget and think this is the first time that the cowboys/Commanders nation got together over something.

However this picture reminds me of when Crazy Ray, the cowboys super fan, passed away and This guy talked about Crazy Ray and how he will miss him.

If there is one silver lining in a cloud after a death like this, it is that it brings people together who normally would have nothing kind to say about one another.

Sadly time will pass and boys and skins fans will go back to ragging on each other and each other's team. However for a brief time, when things are dark and times are hard...we as HUMANS, not fans, can come together and mourn the passing of a person who should not be gone.

So down the road, when someone gets into a verbal sparring match with a fan of the other team (whether that be skins or boys) and it starts getting a little too heated. Remember back on this time and remember what is really important in life.

I thought the same thing.

That video clip was very powerful.

Thanks for the pics, looks like the Commander Nation pulled together and turned out a great showing in Taylor's memory.

Yes of course. Cowboys and Commanders fans would not have it any other way.

As someone said earlier today, sorry I can not remember who, this is like two people who might not like each other, but if something bad happens they can put their dislikes away for the common good.

Class and respect in REAL LIFE situations are much different than petty fights between internet forum nerds like ourselves...Well I must say I might be an internet forum nerd, but I am probably one of the sexiest looking internet forum nerds around.:D

I have been a Commanders fan all my life, I am not sure I will ever go back to the way I felt about the Cowboys. Of all the teams in the NFL it seems that the fans of Dallas are far and above every other team in showing support during this bad time. I don't think we'll be sharing long hot showers in the wee hours of the morning or anything like that, but I don't think I'll root for two teams anymore (Washington and whoever plays the Cowboys), I think I'll just pull for my own team from now on and that's it. Thanks.

thanks for sharing the pictures. amazing turnout but i would not have expected anything less from Commanders fans.

i will continue to pray for the taylor family and all those touched by sean (friends, fans, etc.). he will be missed by this cowboys fan.

take it easy on everyone up there sean...don't go knocking out too many people (just so no one takes this in the wrong manner during such an emotional time i'm talking about his strength/hitting as a safety).

without each other we are nothing but a shadow of ourselves.

Today we are all Commanders fans.
