As others have said, you obviously have no idea what I was saying. Yes, people can and do lose their lives. I'm fully aware of that. It happened to this team just last year. However, my point was that it doesn't make you a criminal or a person of bad character. It can happen to almost anyone that has a few drinks at dinner or after work. Should it? No, but again, it doesn't make you garbage. I guess you're a Saint.

Well, I have never had a DUI, but I am guilty of having some beers and driving home while a little buzzed.

But, now that Visionary opened up my eyes, I'm never going to drink and drive again! I think I will just go commit armed robberies...much safer!

The fact that you overcame it doesn't make it okay, it's completely justified to bring it up. I hear what you're saying, but driving drunk can have terrible repercussions, even if it's just once and acting like people judge it the same way they'd judge armed robbery is complete hyperbole.

Drunk driving is bad.

People that makes mistakes go on to live normal healthy successfully lives.

People never forget the mistakes they made.

I don't recall any mention by anyone that it was no big deal... The consistent point all along has been that it doesn't mean life is over if someone were to receive a DUI. Is it right to drink & drive? Obviously not. Can a person that receives a DUI pick up and return to the world of productive citizenship? Yes. You're still missing the point.

A DUI is not a felony unless you kill someone, and usually that one mistake can be overcome.

Robbing a gas station with a handgun even if you don't kill someone and you get caught is a felony and the repercussions can be with you the rest of your life.

I would guess more people get killed as a result of DUI than armed robberies
