How did Randy Moss turn out? I would take that stupid addict all day.

Randy Moss didn't fail a drug test at the combine. He failed a drug test at FSU. Fact is, he didn't even attend the combine. The rumor at the time was that he was skipping the combine to avoid taking a drug test. So, he may have been an addict, but he was not a stupid addict.

Failing a drug test at the combine says to me that you can't put the joint down and you're willing to jeopardize a multimillion dollar career so you don't have to. If you can't put the joint down, you're addicted. Choosing not to put the joint down long enough to pass a test that you know is coming seems pretty stupid to me. The draft is where teams are built in the NFL and it is a crapshoot already. Ignoring signs that make a player an even more iffy proposition is a reckless way to do business, IMHO. Draft position changes things a little, though. It's a little less risky to pick a guy at #21 than it is at #8, and I'm not sure what I'll be thinking if Gregory is still on the board when we're up.

It's easy to site Randy Moss as the Lets-Draft-A-Talented-Pot-Smoker poster child. After all, hindsight is 20-20. So of course you would "take him all day." How about ultra-talented All Pro Josh Gordon?

Pretty high odds that someone will grab a LB and 1-2 more WRs will also be gone.

BTW, I'd put Trae Waynes in the most likely gone category.

You are correct, players fall every year. My two dark horses at 27 are Kendricks and McKinnley. They have shown a lot of interest in both. I think Gurley, Gordon, Johnson, Jones and Peters are gone and they have no interest in Malcom Brown.

I like McKinney fine at 60 if they have a decent idea how to use him

Yes my point was simply like one person pointed out even if 3 Cornerbacks I've mentioned
are gone at Pick #27 than 3 other Players will fall. There WILL be plenty of meat on the bone
when we pick at #27. Like someone else stated there will be a couple of Players we think might
be 2nd Rounders that end up going in the 1st Round. We are going to get a stud Player. I feel
excellent about landing 3 starters in the 1st 3 Rounds and might even still feel good in the 4th Round.

What makes me feel real good is confidence in Will McClay to get the Players ranked
correctly. Hes that damn good.
