Pickens is not Perfect WR we thought he was. merged

When? Lamb played through a shoulder injury last year. Literally couldn't lift his arm and needed surgery but played until the Cowboys were mathematically eliminated and still posted 100-plus catches on the season.
Ravens game last year. Poor game by him, followed by sideline negativity, arguing with other players, etc. he had a press conference later admitting his attitude and actions were detrimental to the team. Google it.

Check this thread from after that game… a lot of the same language being usage about Pickens this week: https://cowboyszone.com/threads/cd-lamb-30-mil-talent-10-cent-focus.527507/

When did you see ceedee quit? Was it him playing through a seperated shoulder or the grade 3 high ankle sprain?

This isn't a one-off from Pickens. When things aren't going his way, he pouts and shuts down. When things are going his way, he gets aggressive and commits dumb penalties. His emotional immaturity is why Mike Tomlin ran him out of town and gave his payday to DK Metcalf.

The Cowboys have a tougher decision to make on Pickens though. For 3 years in Pittsburgh, the book on him was "#1 WR who'd probably be better as a #2". But in Dallas, he's hit a different gear and is now playing like an All-Pro. So the upside vs downside debate on him now looks a lot more drastic.

Lmao this was not the same as what Pickens did
Im not trying to equate the two events or individuals. Merely pointing out that Cee Dee was also criticized for his attitude/actions after a bad game. Cee Dee seems to have learned from it, and matured. Pickens is 2 yrs younger… give him a chance to mature. It would have been dumb to cut bait on Cee Dee after last years game with Ravens. It would also be dumb to let Pickens walk after this years game with the Lions.

Who the hell is letting Dak slide? Every other post on the front page is how Dak is going to retire with no rings and is a regular season stat padder, and on and on and on.

And while Dak's performance can be questioned, his effort cannot. Nobody, not even his harshest critics, have ever accused Dak of poor effort and not caring. That is the difference between Dak, Lamb and Pickens. Dak might throw multiple ints just like Lamb may have multiple dropped passes, but nobody ever questions their effort and desire to win.

And this is not the first time Pickens has checked out of a game, why the hell do you think the Steelers ditched him off for a 3rd round pick? He had plenty of no-show games in Pittsburgh, just go ask Mike Tomlin about it.

So, the question is do you pay Pickens long term money? They did with Dak, they did with Lamb, but it looks like it’s going to be the tag for Pickens. Gee, I wonder why?
Pickens is 1000 times the WR that Dak is a QB….

Last week everyone wanted to run Lamb out of town, this week it's Pickens' turn.

The Cowboys have two elite receivers and the moment one of them has a bad game y'all are ready to move on. Wild stuff.

Mike Tomlin is smiling right now.
over what? if pickens has this level of game every game for the rest of the season he'd still be worth every penny and a third. but if your read is that after terrorizing the league for the first 10~ games that Tomlin would feel any vindication over a subpar game, then .... i just don't know

If he had a Detroit level of game the rest of the year he'd still be worth 30+ million per year? Or he'd be worth his current third round pay?
