My family went to San Antonio this year for the first 6 days of training camp and we stayed in the Marriott Riverwalk which is the same hotel as the cowboys were staying in during their stay in SA. we had alot of fun and I bumped into what seemed like every cowboy at some point exept for Tony Romo. My brother in law is 6"7 and he said that last year at training camp some of the hotel security kept mistaking him for VanderShank so he was able to walk throughout the cowboys floor on a consistant basis. So this year we kept stopping in the elevator on the 8th,9th,10th, and 11th, floor which was the floors the team was staying on. One time Coach Phillips got on the elevator with us, and i barely recognized him, (He looks alot different without a hat on)I sat in the lobby and talked to Anthony Spencer at 6:45 in the morning for about 20 minutes, he had just signed his deal the day before and he said that he couldnt sleep all night as today was going to be his first full practice as a cowboy. He was exited about getting started and he was extremely personable and seemed like a great guy. T.O. walked right past me in the lobby, it just so happend to be the only freaking time i didnt have my Sharpie and T.O. jersey on me. and all i had time to do was tell him Whats up, he replied to my brother in law and i, Whats up fellas. And as you can see in the pictures above, we were fortunate enough to catch up with D-Ware and Marten Grammatica in the shopping mall right across the street from the hotel. D-WARE was HUGE, and was extremely nice as well. Then we go back to the hotel that night and start playing Ping pong, on the 7th floor. Well there is a massage therapy place right by us, and Marten Grammatica was coming out of the massage parlor. HE recognized us and talked to us for a while, as we were playing ping-pong. I kinda felt bad for the guy becuase every time we saw him, he was by himself. Anyways, i thought i would share a few memories with you guys since cowboyszone is the only place that gets me through the offseason. I honestly dont know what i would do without this forum. I had alot of cool memories from San Antonio and would recommend that everyone go to training camp sometime, because its a blast.
