Did any one just see what Pinkston(sp) just did. What a wuss.
It would have been a TD. I can't believe Pinkston ignored the ball to protect himself. He was afraid!!

He's going to get RIPPED!!!

He was scurred of the patheitc Commander secondary....pitiful....

He was going to get creamed but hes paid well to make the catch and take the hits. Thats the first time I have ever seen a WR just not even act like he wanted the ball. :D

LMAO at Washington, Pinkston just punked the defense for 79 yards :D

No matter how you look at it he still sux

3 catches

99 yards

80 yard long= 2 catches for 19 yards + 1 lucky pass........

The only one they will remember in the locker room will be the NO CATCH.... :p

Yeah, the one where he burned ST. Anyway, the sunday night crew is so annoying. They find two players on each tam everygame and hype them when they make a mediocre play. For example. On one run by Portis, a DT completely broke through the line and forced him to sop and be ganged tackle by kearse and simenou. The suday night crew goes crazy! That freakin punter"wow! Look at kearse, what speed. Folks, thats just a great football player." They even hyped him when he was blown off the line "look at him take the double team."

Then they hyped ST. Saying he was the best player on the team. I think that would go to sean springs or fred smoot. ST got burned a lot in this game. The most notable by todd stinkston. Yet they hype him like crazy when he made a tipped pass. He also was a non factor in the run game. He did hit some people though...

I was at the game, it was very very funny. At least half of the crowd were Eagles fans, and they were all booing him in his wussiness.

McNabb was horrible. I hope he plays that poorly in the playoffs. I'd say I hope he plays that poorly against us next week, but we all know that won't happen. http://***BLOCKED***/albums/v628/cowboyszone/th_grrr.gif

I'm struggling with the idea that Pinkston was afraid to get "crunched" by the two defenders that were obviously zeroing in on him.

The film definetly showed a reluctance in his desire to pursue the completion (excuse my bias). however, another school of thought says that it may have been better to make that on-the-spot judgement call to remain healthy enough to come back and make a critical catch later (which he did).

There"s no rule in the NFL that says get creamed, but maintain respect by the media. If that were the case, the NFL should do away with the "fair catch" rule. Here, a player can wave their arm to signal to the oncoming defensive special team, that you will not make any attempt to progress the ball because you guys would plow right into me if I didn't give you this signal. IMO that's making a practical decision to not engage contact. Pinkston make such a call during the game.

He's no coward! He has brains enough to stay healthy for the Eagles when they need him most -- during the playoffs!

It was a wuss move. If he makes that catch it is a TD. Hell, if he attempts to go for it is a big PI call....

I take a different stand on this one. Sure, I understand your point about a Possible touchdown, but another inch here or there and he's out for the game/season/career!

No, I'm convinced that the best pewrson to make those decisions are the Players themselves; not the fans.

Golf is too tough on the elbows......I suggest madden.....in that game he can ever "break a tackle." :p

No sir! It was not a wuss move. Pinkston chose not to make contact; he didn't want to get injured! A wuss move would have been to make It look good, but knowing all the time that you really didn't want to catch the pill. Pinkston, knowing that the ball was under thrown, But also knowing that the ball was not goinmg to be picked off, decided to not get hurt!

Call it what you want, but Pinkston chose to stay healthy, then come back for a beautiful catch!

Sorry it was a wuss move.....if the guy does not go all out to make the play but instead just tries to protect himself...I say wuss move.

I know some of the rams WRs get labled as being soft...but most of the time they make the effort to catch the ball before falling down.

There also WRs out there that no matter how hard they are going to get hit, they try and make the play.

I wonder how many eagles fans remember Ricky Watters alligator arms play and how selfish he came off when he said he was not going to injure himself making a play.
Hey he is part of the team, he is paid a big amount of money, he is expected to make the play, not just wiff.

But hey that is just one guys opinion.
