Play of the day: DeMarcus Ware's amazing burst

His stop of Dwayne Harris during Tuesday’s practice. It wasn’t a pass-rushing situation, but it was a display of ridiculous athleticism for a man Ware’s size.

It didn’t look like Ware had a great angle when Harris got the ball on an end-around. However, Ware didn’t let Harris turn the corner, sprinting out near the sideline to make the tackle for a loss.

Remember that Harris proved himself as an elite punt returner last season, ranking second in the NFL with a franchise-record 16.1 yards a pop. He’s a dynamic playmaker when he gets the ball in space. And he got run down by a defensive end who has shown no signs of slowing down.

I'm excited to see Ware in this new defense. He seems rejuvenated.

There are fans wanting to believe Ware is slowing down after an injury plagued season, but I don't believe it. I'll wait to see him less effective when he's fully healthy, first.

It's similar to the stories about Jason Witten last offseason. It started with complaints about his blocking tailing off, and then his early drops lit a fuse that wasn't silenced until, what, game 4? At least it was put pretty much to bed after that, though.

I think Ware is going to have a nice strong year. At least 15 sacks.

just ticks me off all the bogus offsides penalties he has gotten over the years; and of course all the holding NOT called on the tackles that tackle him all the time

I went to camp yesterday and saw this live. Seriously something out of a comic book. You saw Harris with yards of space and then Ware appear out of nowhere. Ooh's and ahh's from everyone. It was a full force tackle too. Harris had no chance when it looked like he had 10 yards of separation from anyone. Wow. Really looking forward to Ware having to only worry about finding the ball.
