How satisfying would it be to rest our starters and still knock the skins out of the playoffs! I know its a slim chance but that would be the Ultimate slap in the face to the Skins and their fans. :lmao2:

If i was Phillips i would be pumping up all the back-ups that this was their time to shine and show everyone they belong in the NFL. Im sure most backups might think of it as their superbowl. That would give all Cowboy
fans braging rights for years to come. Not that we dont have them already.:D

:D Well now that all the Skin Trolls have come out, I say we should rest our backups. Thanks guys for clearing that up.

Seriously, I don't see how we match their intensity?

There isn't a team in the NFL that can rest its starters and beat another team with theirs.

How long do you expect the cowboys to rest their players? I see most of the starters playing for awhile on sunday except ones with looming injuries. I dont see what the benefit of not playing game speed football for almost 3 weeks for most players would have for us in the playoff's (more voice: playoffs!, sorry never gets old) especially with the slow starts theyve had in a lot of games.

I know none of us are the coaches but I remember a couple years ago the Colts rested their players and after the first round bye the steelers came in and put the lead up early on them. I think Romo Glenn/Austin/Hurd need to get out there and work on their timing and chemistry. We may have to rely on that group come the first playoff game

Pittsburgh did it to Buffalo two years ago. They won by 2 or 3 scores, I think

Perhaps you missed the Cowboys 1-15 season in 1989.

Pending on the N.O. @ Chicago game that happens earlier in the day, Washington might not have to play their starters either.

I remember what you are talking about. It means to you what Harvey throwing the wreath into the skins locker room meant to us. My all time favorite though is when the Boys were 1 and aweful and only beat one team. Super Bowl winner that year as I recall and a Joe Gibbs team. We all have our favorites.

No. That loss just cost them a chance at the playoffs.

Minnesota plays at the same time as Dallas/Washington. If the Skins rest their starters and lose while the Vikings play their starters and win, well, the Skins would be out.

inasmuch as a loss in the 9th game of the season can do so. the skins lost one game after that- late bloomers that year (kind of like this year and 2 years ago). it didnt help, for sure.

You're right. I forgot their records are the same regardless of the tie breaker.
