Even Stafford accepted that there wasn't enough contact for DPI and there is no no face guarding in the NFL. What everyone seems upset about is that the refs got together and changed the call, even if it was the right decision. I can't blame Stafford for complaining. I can't imagine what this place would be like with the roles reversed.
But like I said numerous times, the flag should never have been thrown to begin with. There was no foul and the ref who threw it was miles away
from the play. The sad part is how the heads of officiating are still saying there was a penalty. From that angle there clearly was not, they had to see this.

On inside the NFL tonight, they all talked about this of course. Had JiM Carey an ex ref on there.
He said they got the call right. And he thought from the very beginning it was not PI.

All the others agreed basically. But all, and we would agree too, should have been a hold.
However no one still brings up the face mask.
