combine numbers? vernon gholston had atheltic prowess out the yang but couldnt beat rob petitti with a head start because his football athleticism was less than my grandmothers
So you're saying that Gholston had great technique, was highly motivated and spent the required hours in the film room and practice field learning to convert from a DE to an OLB but the poor sap just didn't have the required athletic ability?
Poor ole Vernon Gholston. He used perfect technique, spent countless hours in the film room, would run into a brick wall on command and had a great mental feel for the game, but just didn't have any darned athleticism. They could have done a remake of Rudy titled Vernon.
