What if the Cowboys (currently 8-5) beat the Giants and Ravens and have a record of 10-5 going into thier last game @ Phili...

Also let's say that the Eagles (currently 7-5-1) win their next two games against the Browns and Commanders and have a record of 9-5-1 going into their last game against the Cowboys.

If the Eagles win that game and the Cowboys record is 10-6 and the Eagles record is 10-5-1...does the tie in the Eagles record become the first "tiebreaker" for all team with the same amount of wins?

Eagles would have a better win %(10/15 = .667)-it's as if the tie was a game that never happened.

Considering they wouldn't be tied?

No, the fact that 10-5-1 is a better record than 10-6 becomes the "first tiebreaker". The Eagles won't be tied with anyone (barring any more ties), so they don't have to worry about tiebreakers.

Eagles would get the spot over us. We'd have to hope it was the 5 spot and we held the advantages for the 6 spot over the other contenders.

If we lose any games, the eagles must lose an equivelent amount of games or they finish ahead of us. So if we lose vs Ravens and eagles are 2-0 with our game left, we need to beat eagles to make them lose too.

We are a half game up. We need to match their wins to stay ahead. That's one reason losing at Pitt hurt so much. We were a game and a half up.

The tie actually counts as half a win. If they finish 10-5-1, their winning percentage would be .656 (10.5/16).
