I haven't watched any of these top 100 lists but I believe it's the "players" that are doing the voting.

It is the players but it seems kind of weird how it pans out. In the introduction of the show they say that the players put their top 20 on a list and it is made from that. So I'm not sure how the other 80 pan out. I realize that most players top 20 will be different but it still seems like they don't pick everything.

All of NFLN's top !0/100 lists never make a lot of sense because it's based on numerous opinions some of which are biased opinions that's why I don't bother watching most of them. I've watched a few of their top 10 lists and some of the rankings are ridiculous that's why I rarely waste my time with them. The top 100 list is going to have a lot of bias attached to it because naturally some players won't vote for certain players no matter how great a season that player had simply because they don't like them.

If 100 players submit a list of their top 20 players in the league you'll end up with more than 100 players names being submitted. If each player's list includes just one name that's not on anyone else's list, you'll get at least 120 players.

I don't think Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, Anthony Spencer, nor Tony Romo made this list.
Romo, Witten, Ware and Dez are all on the list.

There's no way Cruz is on the list and Dez isn't.
There's no way Stafford is on the list and Romo isn't.

Really? Witten, arguably the best all around TE in the game today with over 100 catches as a TE, not to mention a perrenial pro bowler. Isn't in the top 100?

Would it be insane to leave Dez off of the top 50 list? I personally don't think so. There are 32 teams in the league and if there are just two players better than him on every team then he wouldn't crack the top 60.

It is arguable that Tony Romo, Ware, Tyron Smith, Lee, Spencer (I'm not a huge Spencer supporter), Claiborne, Carr and Austin have a case for being ranked higher and more important than Dez on this team alone. (Although you could also make a case that he is the most valuable Cowboys player other than Romo too.) But it wouldn't be absurd to argue that he isn't in the top 100.

Because he hasn't been mentioned yet, he'll be in the top 50. They can't possibly leave him out of he top 100 for 2013.
But I agree with your logic.

That's what I'm thinking. Jacoby Jones??? Anquan Boldin??? I like Demayrius Thomas, but if he's on the list Dez should be on there somewhere too.

Dez will be but I'm not confident in tony being on. Seems the 4 rookies are getting all the praise of being on the list.

Demaryius Thomas is on that list-as he should be. He's outstanding and is better than Boldin at this stage in his career (Jones too).
So is Dez.

Count on Dez making the the top 50.

I think the next batch comes up tomorrow.

I'm pretty shocked that Russell Wilson is ranked 51st. I'm a big fan, but that's awfully high after just one year. The other QBs already on the are Kaepernick (81), Stafford (76) and Roethlisberger (61). I get a creepy feeling that Romo did not make this list if he's not on it by now.

I assume Ware, Bryant, and maybe Witten are all that make it.
Next year it's be Bryant, Romo, Witten, Lee, Carter, Claiborne, Ware. :)

According to some in the league Dez is overrated and that is beyond me.

I haven't watched any of that crap of a show the top 100, chances are Witten, and Ware makes that crap list but Tony, and Dez will not be on it IMO.

Any specific names? I know Patrick Peterson said as much when they faced off in 2011, but it seemed a bit silly considering it was one of Bryant's better games up until that point.

I just noticed that Heath Miller and Dennis Pita made it, so Witten for sure did (better have anyway).
