The destruction of proud Defenses...

The Cowboys put more points on the Giants D (45) than any team last year (42 by the Seahawks) and the most since ummm....15 years ago when the Eagles scored 47 against them in 1992.

The Cowboys put more points on the Fins D (37) than any team last year (34 by the packers) and the most since the Bills put 42 on them in 2005.

To keep this trend going (3 more points than other teams), I suppose we'll have to throw 34 points on the Bears (most on them last year was 31 points).

Supernatural Romo...

Romo's career 8.8 YPA is the best amongst active QBs. Roethlisberger and Bulger are next in line with a 8.2 and a 7.7 respectively.

I believe Steve Young is the highest at 8.0 YPA; followed by Bart Star at 7.8 among non-active/retired QBs.

I believe this to be entirely correct. However, the list was extensive..So if you want to double check, go to www.pro-football-reference.com. Simply click on the QB link there and let your headache begin.

All about Owens.....

I mentioned in another post that Owens is about to surpass Michael Irvin for all-time receiving yards. He only has 6 yards to go.

Irvin: 11,904 career receiving yards
Owens: 11,899 career receiving yards

Also, if Owens' TD pace continues. He's set to have a 24 TD season. Which, by the way would surpass Jerry Rice's single season record of 22 receiving TDs in 1987. Just may be fun to watch if TO and Randy Moss duke it out at the end of the season for this record.

Marion the Barbarian....

If MB3's pace continues, he'll fall just one TD shy of the Cowboys Franchise record of 25 TDs by Emmitt Smith. Same goes for Witten....He would fall just one TD shy of the Franchise TE record of 9TDs by Dupree.

Following up on my previous post...

Julius needs just 6 more yards to get to 3,000 rushing yards.
Witten needs just 19 more to get to 3,000 receiving yards.

O.K. I know we're only two games into the season....But it's fun to keep track, so what the heck.:starspin

Thanks for the post... no way does T.O. keep up that TD pace. If he finishes with 15, I'll be thrilled.

Romo's YPA really excites me.

Otto Graham holds the record at 8.63 YPA, with Sid Luckman next at 8.42.

TO said he aimed for 20 scores, he's on pace to fulfill that.

That was quick....Thanks Adam. Do you know how long it took me to look down that list...I even double checked LOL.

BTW do you happen to know who holds the Yards per Completion records? Either current or retired QBs? I couldn't pull up that stat.

Ed Brown (Bears and Steelers in the 1950s and '60s) holds the record at 16.44 YPC.

Romo is the active leader at 13.79. The most recent quarterback with at least as many career attempts and a higher YPC was Jay Schroeder (1985-1994). He had a 14.07 career YPC, but he completed only 50.8 percent of his passes, so his YPA was only 7.145. Romo's at 63.8 percent completions and 8.8 YPA for his career. Schroeder also threw almost as many interceptions (108) as he did touchdowns (114), while Romo is quickly approaching a 2-to-1 ratio (25 TDs and 14 INTs).
