I stopped trying to be a armchair GM around 98 or so when I realized JJ was so much better at it.
And yes I would he has....

He has another year on his rookie contract? then I think he plays that out.
I almost said, why not? But I see some reason why not.

I see no reason to cut him beforehis last year. He's not seeing a 2nd contract though.

I shouldn't have voted since anything I do in a Mo thread leaves others thinking I hate his very existence. I shouldn't even be typing this.

There is ZERO chance we cut Mo this off season. Right now we are going to pay him 2.6 million next year whether he is on this team or not, or at least he still counts that much against the cap. So even if he's the 4th CB he's going to be here.

Mo Claiborne has a fully guaranteed contract.

He has a guaranteed contract and there's this thing called injured reserve, I don't understand the question unless he's a cripple???? Weird...

He'll have one more chance to prove himself but honestly I don't think he'll be able to do it. We'll probably draft another CB in 3rd or 4th round next year. I think unless Mo shows up big and not get injured again in TC, I don't seen him making the team next year.

Mo supposedly has ball skills, so put 50 pounds on him and make him a tight end (he's too slow for wide receiver).

how long till he can cut on that knee again? hes pretty fragile so might factor in some extra just because. now all that time lets say Moore plays at average to above average. I feel he will be better than that but just say average. Claiborne is 95th of 100 corner by PFF coming off injury do you think he will beat out any 3 of those guys? If Carr wont take a paycut I would serious consider replacing him with a FA or one of the young guys like Patmon or Claiborne on his last rookie year. I think Claiborne comes back to battle for nickle if anything unless Carr goes. Carr is ranked like 90th of 100 while Scandrick is around top 15, Moore even higher.

and I do like Carr he is tough guy with skill but his contract is horrible.

Mickey said on Talkin Cowboys that Mo has a guaranteed contract for $2.6 million for 2015 (the last year of his rookie contract).

So we pay him the money regardless of if he is on the team or flipping burgers...................no benefit to cut him unless he is just freaking terrible in camp and preseason next year.................that is why I voted 50/50

I don't see the purpose of cutting him. He's not expensive. He still has potential. I personally don't think they should either.

If there is 5 other CBs out there that are better than Mo I would not waste the space on him and eat up his contract. People want to keep him but I don't see if the point if he just takes up space and prevents us from playing someone else better.

let's say the cowboys decide to keep carr one more year, scandrick holds fort, moore and patmon continue to progress.....then the only way I could see claiborne never playing here again is if we find another young corner with potential next year similar to patmon who we decide to keep instead of claiborne.

Jerry commented recently that he still has high hopes for Claiborne. It's highly unlikely that the front office would be likely to consider waiving Mo until his contract is up. Even then, there might be room for doubt. First round+ picks that this organization expends to get someone are unlikely to be cut until all hope is gone. Give it time.
