If Jerry Jones were to hire another head coach, for example, Mike Shanahan, do you believe that Wade Phillips would accept a demotion to become the team's defensive coordinator if he were offered the position?
I've said the exact same thing. However, it keeps surprising me that some folks believe that he will take a demotion because of loyalty, money, etc. I'm just curious how viable people believe this to be possibly true.Yeagermeister;2584195 said:He'll either be the HC or fired
I don't like his attitude either, but he's never demonstrated that kind of desperation during his coaching career in my opinion. It's just not the norm for any head coach.JVita17;2584206 said:That fool Wade has that AWW SHUCKS attitude, I think he would take it with his tail between his legs.
It's a yes or no opinion poll.Switz;2584211 said:what kind of thread is this?

Not sure how more emphatic the owner of the Dallas Cowboys can be about it.
Firing coaches, assistant or otherwise, has always been a normal practice in the NFL regardless of whether the owner or general manager has publicly stated differently.JVita17;2584225 said:He also said NO COACHING CHANGES. You mind telling me what Brian Stewart is doing?

Based on the early results, I'd say not very viable. It's just something that doesn't happen.DallasEast;2584203 said:I'm just curious how viable people believe this to be possibly true.
I hope that's the case regardless of who the next head coach will be. It'll always be my personal belief that the best working relationships within a coaching staff will be those created via hires by the head coach himself.Yeagermeister;2584239 said:I don't think he will be the DC because Jerry will fill that position with who Garrett wants for 2010.
You know me BDC. Curiosity and the cat and all that. I kept seeing the customary, "Well, Wade Phillips will be back as the DC!!!!11!" posted in threads here and there and I couldn't resist posting a poll.big dog cowboy;2584251 said:Based on the early results, I'd say not very viable. It's shocking that people are still suprised that Brian Stewart and Bruce Read were shown the door.

What is, by your definition, a "realistic poll". Do tell.Switz;2584330 said:it's a not realistic poll.
