Literally NO ONE believes the Cowboys ownership knows what they are doing or have any plan. They just hope to "strike oil". It has made them rich before...they are totally winging it every year and at all times. Jimmy saved these dopes.

Not starting the rebuild after the GB playoff loss was a mistake, shoulda blew it up then
Rebuilding is something that fans of all teams and the front offices of 31 other teams understand.

Jerry has never done a rebuild since he bought the team. He doesn’t even consider it as a possible option under any circumstance.

He doesn’t even consider ‘89 a rebuild.

For him, it was *building* on the failures of Landry and Tex. He never even had to accept that what he had done didn’t work.

He’s certainly not going to start now.

I struggle with this idea every time it’s posted because a successful team would be incredibly profitable. There’s no profit in being average or bad
And yet the stadium continues to sell out, the Cowboys are still the most valuable franchise in sports, and they don't have to spend as much on getting the free agents to reach a SB... so I stand by my statement. He is more about the money and his ego than anything else and it isn't even close. The proof is the last 30 years.

I’m reminded of Hanlon’s Razor

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"

I stand by my statement as well. A Super Bowl winning Cowboys team puts nitrous into the fuel lines of every aspect of Jerry’s business machine.

The outlays from free agent bonuses, etc, would pale in comparison.

I just think he’s completely incompetent at building a winning football team.

What is the plan then? Trade Micah to give us 4 picks in the next 2 drafts in Rd 1 and 2? Then Jerry says we will use our resources if needed to provide us with a shot this year? In your opinion, what is the plan, because for the life of me and many many others, we don't really know. According to ownership, the pieces in terms of coaching and players are currently here...
Ask them not me.

That's a good quote. It's been a while since I heard it. You might be right, then again, I might be right that profit and his ego are more important than doing what it takes to win. It doesn't mean he doesn't want to win, just that it's not the first or second priority. I agree he's incompetent.

Jerry Has no plan but to stay relevant
He lucked into Jimmy and that made his ego grow Since then he thinks he did those Championships all by himself. So when he gets questioned now all he can do is say well look what I've done 30 yrs ago and you know even now we've been in the playoffs.
So I have built a great dynasty. That is something the fans should be grateful for.
We have a great Offense Dak is playing well we could slid in and make some noise you never know. We got them one we could trade but probably not cause we can really be in the spot light through out the draft and even the SB with what will I do with my picks?

Im sorry but I hope that Washington embarrass Jerry so bad that he has to sneak out of the stadium Sunday That the fans leave by the 4th Things like that will make Jerry make a move! Now will it be the right move that will be the question?

Yep, one of the problems where the:Owner, GM, Media Personality isnt answerable (and even threatening) towards any sign of opposition or mild questioning.
As you say, 'stay relevant' and the rest is the blame of players and coaching staff.
There is the chance of a clever plan to unfold over the next couple of years, however, under Jerry, Stephen and even Will, ive no faith.

None of the above. This was a lazy poll. Your options show you have an agenda.

Kind of a flawed poll. There's no plan for the roster but marketing is always the plan for the organization.

I'd say the opposite, calling it a lazy poll points out your agenda!!!! The poll is very straightforward.

There’s no plan. Just an echo chamber of incompetence up top. Smartest move at this point would be to sell hard at trade deadline. Diggs, Pickens, J Williams, even Dak. Dak has a no trade clause but if you gut the team you can convince him to seek a championship with a good qb-starved team. It’s nothing against Dak, but just that we can’t do a soft rebuild in a timeframe where Dak is still serviceable, so anybody that is likely to age out in two years should be on the block.

This team doesn’t have the guts to do that, but a smart team in the nfl would leverage the salary cap rhythm and rebuild hard every 5 years to gain draft capital to make a run unless you find an all pro qb. Eagles got a couple extra 1sts and got there with a mediocre qb doing that exact strategy

Jerry’s need to stay relevant every year is why this team has been so bad for 30 years
