:lmao: You’ve got some reality issues if you base anything as fact from results of this poll. This place is overrun with haters and quitters. And if you don’t think they have a plan, you have an agenda. Of course they have a plan. The plans not working. You guys are just blinded by your hate you can’t accept anything but hate.
Yes, we know, and you're the leader of the hater/quitter club. And you're definitely blinded by something!!!

Almost like a homer troll if that’s such a thing. Lol

So what would we rather have? Fans hating on the Cowboys or Cowboy fans hating on other fans.

I think fans hating or attacking other fans is probably against the rules while hating or attacking the Cowboys isn’t .

I think THEY think they have a plan. But it changes, hugely, every year.
So, no, they have no plan.
Yep, heavily supported by the organisational mission statement....To be relevant each and every year (and then hope in the play-offs).

It's time for a scandal.

When things are starting to go against you deflect attention with a scandal.

Out of curiosity...

Is hiring a new head coach, and bringing in new position coaches while keeping the core of your offence and gutting your defensive leaders not the very definition of "soft rebuild"?

That may be a generous way of looking at it.

I don't think the options available explain the plan. The second option comes the closest. I say they are going to go full speed ahead with minor tweaks to the current roster.

On offense I would try to keep the band together. Try to extend Pickens(worst case is tag him for next year) add another RB and we are set.

Defense needs lots of help obviously. Need to find out what we have with Revel, Carson, Butler and Stewart. Need to move on from Diggs. I would try to trade him before the deadline and if there are no takers, just release him. I could see him being traded to the Packers or Commanders. Maybe get a LB or Safety in return or a 4th or 5th rd draft pick.

LB needs a complete overhaul. Overshown is the only one that has shown anything and he is injury prone. They should be looking for ways to improve this unit including early draft picks.

I would like to see two new safeties. It's time to move on from the current starters.

The defensive line needs time to gel. EZE and Houston have shown a little. Fowler shows up in some games. Sam Williams is a trade candidate if anyone thinks they can turn his freak athleticism into a player.(Quinn Maybe) Kneeland and Clowney are the run stoppers but haven't shown a lot yet. DT's Clark, Thomas, and Osa are decent rotational players but still need that Dawg. Mazi is gone after this year unless someone wants to trade for him this year.

I think 7 new players would make this team incredibly improved. I would attack these positions in the draft and free agency.

2 LB's, 2 Safeties, A dog DT and Another DE on Defense.
On offense a RB to add to Williams is all that is needed.

Good stuff. Let me ask though. Isn’t adding 7 defensive players some kind of rebuild? However it’s defined.

Maybe, Considering we only need one player on offense and 6 on defense I wouldn't consider it blowing up the roster.

We could get by without a RB Williams and Blue might end up being enough.. Add one LB instead of 2 and you end up with Overshown, Liafau, James and a stud and you are probably set. Add one Safety to replace Wilson and let Thomas develop.

A dawg DT would lift the entire defense and make everyone look better. The DE's aren't dominant but EZE is showing some signs of high upside and the rest are respectable.

So maybe One LB, DT and Safety would make a world of difference. With 2 1's and a 2 used properly this team could look a lot different. IMO

Oh I agree with you about needing what you described. I’m just saying that adding 7 players on defense has to be considered some kind of rebuild.

Seems clear we can’t move forward with many of the guys on defense we are counting on this year.

The first option has received 28 votes. I have a sincere question. “Will take 2 years” to do what exactly? Is this when we finally put some stock in the QB position since Aikman? If that’s not it, what rock did yall just crawl out from underneath?

It’s not clear to me what the long term strategy or plan this front office is following to improve this roster. So I thought I would ask the fan base.

I occasionally hear the “soft rebuild” term thrown around, which can mean different things to different people. Others may say we are in a complete 1989 style rebuild where the roster will need to be harshly churned. While to some this front office either doesn’t have a discernible plan outside of marketing their team or is just winging it.

What say you? What’s the plan around here?
BULLET!!!
The plan is to stay the course. Hence 30 years of the same "good enough" policies that generate the Joneses billions without ever achieving greatness.

They have no plan, and even if they did Jerry would go rogue and derail the whole damn plan.
