Hi Guys, this is a poll to why u think the cowboys lost, and hopefully if get enough votes, etc, send this to all media writers and then to jerry jones
My opinion is that Wade Phillips is content on his 13=3 record, and not seeing the big picture, (the cowboys are always flat in december, thats the problem) that he didnt step his foot on the players after they came back from the bye week, and work them in full pads to get ready for the big game. To me that is what happened to the offensive line, they ran out of gas in 4th quarter, with all of the false starts etc.

Poll, what do you cowboy fans feel reason why cowboys lost:
1. Lack of working in Pads in December
2. Distractions of assistant coaches possible leaving for other nfl teams
3. Distractions, players allowed to leave and go party, Jimmy Johnson didnt allow this, and Nate Newton said u need to be focused in playoff run weeks
4. Distractions; Possibly Jerry Jones allowing & wanting Cowboy players to go to too many functions, charities, and not be focused on Cowboy Playoff weeks
5. Wade Phillips-content on his 13-3 record and not focussing on cowboys in playoffs with heart, desire to work the players, and not just be a good ole boy, maybe he had in december camp cup cake again
6. Eye of the tiger with some leaders cowboy players on this team, guys like bradie james, roy williams, terrance newman-where was he in this game, patrick crayton, maybe these players are too content on their big money they got from jerry jones contract money wise, and dont have heart to be a true champion to do whatever it takes to be the best, maybe jerry jones needs to bring those players in to his office and get on their butt for not playing like a champion when everything was on the line, its sure to be said that wade phillips isnt going to do that, ala kinda like LT of the chargers told norv turner, dont treat us like babies, but treat us like men, but work our butts off,

I don't know how anyone can say that Wade's content right now.

Go look at his press conferences from the regular season and the one from yesterday.

You want fire and brimstone from this guy, you're going to be disappointed. But he's not content right now. Not even close.

You forgot to add overconfidence and complacency. This team stopped playing hard after they beat Green Bay and thought they could coast to the playoffs.

Jimmy Johnson has said himself he didn't care what the players did on their off time. As long as he knew he could count on you on Sunday.

peplaw, and joe, but thats what im saying, use numbering system to agree what you agree with, and add what u think, then we can send that on to media guys and then get that sent off to jerry jones,

i do think what i heard from wade phillips saying he was content on the 13-3 record, but he didnt touch on the poor playing in december by the cowboys, why, and how he is going to fix it, you can win all u want too during the regular season, but if you go flat in december, and then u will lay an egg in the playoffs, u just cant turn it on and off.

it takes heart and desire, eye of the tiger, and frankly i think some of these guys dont have it, only guys i saw worth while playing were
Demarcus Ware
Barber
Romo
T O
Witten whom cried after the game
these players have heart, but where are
bradie james, roy williams, flozell adams, greg ellis, terrance newman, patrick crayton, most of these guys didnt show up, either you want to be the best, or u dont, your just content on showing a winning season, but when comes to playoffs it doesnt matter, u just dont really care

thats what i question, i kept seeing romo tell the guys on the offensive line, lets go, lets go, like roy williams said on the jerry jones show im looking forward to the challenge, but he sure didnt work hard in offseason, work his butt off to improve, he has been living off of his legend in 2002 and 2003, but done nothing sense, its time now for JERRY JONES TO HOLD THESE PLAYERS ACCOUNTABLE, AND MAKE THEM ANSWER WHY THEY FAIL AND DONT PRODUCE IN DECEMBER AND PLAYOFFS,

TILL PLAYERS LIKE BRADIE JAMES, PATRICK CRAYTON,, FLOZELL, ROY WILLIAMS, AKIN, GREG ELLIS-WHOM IS REALLY TICKING ME OFF WITH HIS COMPLAINING AGAIN, IF I WAS THE OWNER, ID CALL HIM INTO MY OFFICE, AND TELL HIM TO SHUT UP AND PLAY, AND THEN ASK HIM, WHAT DID U DO IN THIS PLAYOFF GAME GREG, I DIDNT SEE NO SACK BY YOU OR PRESSURE, ARE U ALL MOUTH AND CRY BABY?

Poor execution and lack of focus. The same two things that have been plaguing them all year, it finally caught up to them.

No. 5.
Wade is happy to go through life (I am convinced) doing as well as his pappy did. That means no Super Bowl wins. He was so enamored with 13-3 and the good record leading up to that, that he was blinded by his success.

Success does not mean 13-3.
Success is leaving the Super Bowl game with the Lombardi.
Here is a mantra for Jerra: Don't give Wade a chance to go 0-5 in the playoffs. This franchise is too good and valuable to turn it over to a retread whose stock answer to a miserable late-season swoon is "We're fine."
Your team. albeit loaded with Pro Bowlers, was not "fine." It was not the lack of talent, it was the lack of leadership by teddy bear Wade Phillips.
Sunday's shellacking by a better prepared and more focused (and undermanned) team is proof of that.

You hit it on the head, Dooms. Even when we were winning every game by double digits, the execution was off. Penalties and stupid mistakes plagued this team from day one. And like you said it finally caught up to them.

The passion and emotion from guys like TO and Witten gives me hope. They wanted it so bad. Maybe this will make every coach and every player remain focused and determined for next year. We'll see.

I don't care what anyone says. The Dallas Cowboys are better than the Giants and, yes, better than Green Bay too. They blew a golden opportunity this season. Such a waste.

Making a mountain out of a mole hill here.

Do any of the items in that list guarantee that Crayton won't drop the ball when wide open? That Romo's arm wont' get hit causing the ball to flutter past a wide open TO at the five? That a missed tackle turns a curl route into a td?

LACK OF EXECUTION. PERIOD.

I see your verbal/reasoning skills are still a work in progress.
It's easy to do a drive-by. It's something else to write out what might be bedeviling the team I live to see play.

But if you ever come up with something of substance, something that comes from the heart, put it out there, Mr. Le Pew.
We have time. Camp is far away.;)

I'll take it further and say they stopped playing after Favre went out of the game, which we were dominating. They didn't even finish this game well...at least on defense.
