Poor tackling Cowboys - noone in the Top 50

I looked at the Tackle leaders and we don't have anyone with over 100 Taks or in the top 50 or so...man that is crap..poor...embarassing....

1) Doesn't mean anything as tackles could have been more team oriented than individual...

2) The first Baltimore player that registered in the top 50 came in at 40 and was tied with Ray Lewis...

So does that mean that their defense stinks because they were both at the bottom of the top 50?...

No, doesn't mean anything...

They still had the #1 Defense...

MLB Eugene "the tackling machine" Lockhart held the Cowboys tackling record for years. Because most of his tackles were 6-7 yards from the line of scrimmage. He got lots of chances to tackle. Worthless stat.

Just like if your safety leads your team, he's usually the last line of defense.

tackles arent even an official stat, the numbers you see on nfl.com are not the real numbers

well, we weren't tackling much the last month of the season because teams were throwing the ball over Bradie James and around Roy Williams. Tough to tackle when guys are running free 30 yards downfield.

Tackling #s are not official. If you play in a stadium where they are more generous in crediting tackles, you'll be a tackle leader. If you don't you won't be.

Why does this surprise you? Our D-line or LBs couldn't get pressure enough to tackle and our DBs were constantly getting burned.
