This is our best team in years. I mean years. Does anyone else see the twisted correlation of us finally having a good to potentially great team/ and the Skins finally getting their stroke of luck in this lopsided rivalry? I'm still heated about losing a game that we should have won but it's happened to the skins quite a few times lately.

I'm asking everyone to remember games like in '92 @ RFK where we suffered a stinging loss when Emmitt fumbled in the endzone on a contraversial call. Everyone knows we were a great team that year. Part of me is relieved as I try to get over the what if's and pain of last night.

Drew played an excellent game. He didn't take any sacks/force the ball/make mistakes. He managed the game well. Our defense looked great.

What I'm trying to say is that even when we were really good we went through stinging losses like this to the Skins. Does anyone feel like we can move on now and become a good team... The Skins got their win but I would trade that for making the playoffs and getting back to greatness.. any thoughts?

All yet to be determined, but I like a lot of things we are doing right now, minus 2 plays.

the defense looked better with the exception of the two td plays. we put a good amount of pressure in the first 3 quarter.

offense looked to be somewhat effective though it's obvious we were extremely conservative.

special teams looked to have improved.

i don't like dwelling on these losses. maybe its parcells' philosophy that we play conservative - instead of going for the kill, we just try not to lose by trying to run the clock out. we've got the weapons to go after teams, i just wonder why we don't attack like most high-powered offenses...

GW has a very good defense and I'm sure the plan was to not make mistakes. The skins offense had not shown any life.. no threat at all. I'm sure the thinking was to trust your defense.

Stay away from Bridges, Cliffs, and tops of Buildings.

It is not worth it.

Im madder than hell. But you know what, we're 1-1. It's early. Our young players look good, Pettiti, Canty, Spears, Ware...Henry continues to impress...furstrating to see the same route burn you twice

what i dont understand is why newman or henry were not on that side covering Moss, isn't he there number one receiver. i guessing he's thier fastest. newman is our fastest corner, why isn't he vovering Moss.

The easiest way to deal with it, let them enjoy their little Super Bowl. There's a new task at hand, SF. I tihnk we can get a 4-1 run on the next couple games. If we sit at 5-2, even 4-3 heading into our Bye Week, I think we set ourselves up for a nice run. Our young defensive players will only get better. Spears and Canty look like studs out there.

I think we can be encouraged by the first 55 minutes of last night's game. But it's understandable that all of threw up in our mouths a little bit during the last five minutes. I have no doubts that Dallas is the better team. Maybe that's why I'm so mad. To their credit, the Skins never quit. But I don't think they won as much as the Cowboys lost.

I agree. And you know what, there's nothing we can do about it. The great thing about this rivalry, we play them again. We will be playing for a playoff spot, they will be playing to maybe finish 8-8. 9-5 over the rest of the season is not out of the question at all.
