Ok, I might be smoking the sticky, but what if we could get Dunta Robinson at the right price and move him to FS. He is physical, rangy, a good tackler and has great instincts when the ball is in the air. I think he could develope into the closest thing we could ever get to Ed Reed. There was already talk in Houston about moving him to FS there, and he seemed responsive to it. he has a fuzzy injury history so we might be able to get him at a huge discount, circa Ken Hamlin.

I know some people want Henry at FS, but I just dont think he has the wheels to be a ball hawk back there.

Anyway, if it was the right price what would you guys think?

No, thanks. If we arnt going to draft a S in the first 3 rounds, I'd rather us make a play as Atogwe or Landry.

No chance. He's going to get a lot of $, be it in Houston or somewhere else.

So, you don't think there is a single pro FS currently playing (other than Ed Reed) that would be an upgrade for Dallas?

OK. :laugh2:

I think the kid will get a decent little deal to stay with Houston cause he's the one good player they have in their secondary.

And after what they were willing to give Burnt Toast, AKA Reeves, I'm sure they'll be willing to give this guy more.

I'm sure that there are like a ton of college guys who are going to be as good as Reed. He's totally overrated. I mean folks talk about him as a first ballot hall of famer. He totally might not make it until the second ballot.

Actually he played well when he came back from injuries.

That said, he wants to get paid...and he wants to play cornerback. No moving to safety for him.

Yeah, he's one of the better young corners in the game... No way does he move to FS.

I don't have a CB playing FS and a SS who isn't a SS, playing SS

restructure Roy and draft a meat-and-potatoes guy to play SS who has speed

Houston seems to want him back pretty bad. Wouldn't surprise me if he's Franchised this year.

That is what I think myself... he's always been a CB

The guy pretty much lost his one leg last season or 2 seasons ago. Lost all his speed, explosiveness and everything. Not interested. He got beat like a drum last season, and now he's looking for like 20 mil. guaranteed. :laugh2:

Had he not suffered that injury he would be worth 20 mil. but only as a cornerback.

Isn't Landry an URA? So he would be much harder to get I would think.

Safety is big on my list. And I agree I would prefer to see Anthony Henry cut; at this point he's too small and slow to play any position on defense. We might even be able to deal him along with another bottom-feeder for a 2nd day draft pick. I'm familiar with Dunta Robinson; if we could get him, and find someone already familiar with the SS position, I would probably keep him as a CB, since we canned Pacman Jones and Henry, and two newbies are the only thing we have behind Newman.
