Possibly sign Warrick or Price?

Both are now free agents. Warrick had the big play potential in college, but it never really translated into the NFL for whatever reason, i am not sure because I havent really got a good shot to see him play. However I would be really interested in signing him because he is still kinda young and might be a playmaker.

Price on the other hand i dont think fits here.

Either way I think Warrick would be a good fit on the offense, simply because our offense still stinks and could use all the help it can get. Morgan would definitely have to be cut which doesnt bother me one bit.

Does anyone have some more insight into Warrick and the possible reasons why it just didnt seem to work out in Cinci?

Why do you think Price would not fit here? He did well in atlanta, he has never been a top 10 WR, but he would be an upgrade, my thing is, I dont know his character well enough to know if he is a Parcells type player. I do know that he has pretty good speed, and is definitely a threat to opposing secondaries. As for Warrick, the same could be said. JMHO

Well the reason I say he might not fit here is because he might want to go to a team that starts him. he very likely wouldnt start here. he'd be a great insurance policy in case Glenn gets hurt, and would likely get solid playing time, I am not sure that he'd be willing to be 3rd or 4th WR though, when he could probably start somewhere else.

I see, I didnt think of it that way. But at the same time, if we brought him in, and he did really well, who knows........I feel that we are one of those teams that could use any kind of help at WR. Especially since he is still a young guy, we wont have KJ forever, and Glenn is getting older too. Morgan......we all know about Morgan, and Crayton is really starting to come on. I can see crayton being apart of our future, but after that, there is no one else.

honestly I would love to have either just because I think our offense still needs a big upgrade before we're going to have a shot of doing anything like making hte playoffs, or actually winning agame in the playoffs.

I am not sure what problems Price had in Atlanta, but I can imagine it would be hard to play receiver with a QB like Vick.

Vick is a terrible pocket passer and it would be hard for a WR to keep running his routes and not have the ball thrown his way and watch the QB run out of the pocket when he was open.

Price has an eye injury concern, as I mentioned in another thread.

Will not come to Dallas ...imo.

that was Vick about 3 years ago though. If I remember right, his rushing has gone down each of the last 3 seasons......a lot.....and his pass attempts and completion percentage has gone up likewise. Vick has held back a lot more from running. But it could still be a factor, I agree with you there.

I think if we could get either one of these two, we wouldnt have to worry about WR in next years draft most likely, unless we got a 3rd or later round pick. But it would allow us to focus on OL and QB next year in the draft.

How are we going to make these guys in to good receivers? Good enough to make us forget about other young WRs? Doubt it. The Bengals and Falcons couldn't even trade these kids -- what does that tell you about what scouts around the league think of them?

Signing Price could be a smart move IMO. Price has a rapport with Bledsoe from Buffalo and Price could let us spread the field with KJ, TG and Crayton. Didnt he also return punts in Buffalo?

I think Price is worth more of a look from us than Warrick. Price would be a perfect replacement for Glenn, who is a bit injury prone.

Warrick made alot of cool looking moves in college, but the main problem I have seen in the league is that he isn't a burner. He is actually an undersized possession WR, a fact which he doesn't seem aware of. In saying this, I believe he would be more of a replacement for Key.

Any negatives that can be said about either can be also said about that pathetic excuse of a WR, Morgan.

With our current condition at WR, I would take either of them, although Price would be first cause of the Bledsoe connection.

I think at one time, I would have jumped for either one of these fellas, but at this point in their careers, I have a hard time looking at them as anything more than competition for Quincy Morgan. Why spend that money on a potential #4 or #5 receiver?

Doesn't Warrick also play ST's? Punt returns? May also come cheaper.

Because it beats going into the season with only 3 WR that can be counted on. Price I think is taking a lot of blame for Vicks own shortcoming. Price put together some good season in Buffalo because he had a QB who could stand in there and deliver the ball something he has not had in the last 2 years.

If he keeps dropping easy passes we may regret keeping him. I have nothing personal aginst Morgan but he has got to catch the damn ball when it comes his way.

Two things: 1) Vick is a good pocket passer 2) The problem in Atlanta for Vick was that his recievers were dropping a lot of balls.

I'm not sure if Price was part of that problem, but they had big problem w/ that last year. That's why people question if Vick will want to stay in the pocket, because when he throws it, they'd drop the pass. It happened a lot in Atlanta last year.
