Agree 100% with everything except this. Just remove Bowen and add Ayodele (or a NG that gets cut) and it'll be perfect.

Also, I wanna wait and see what's up with Gramatica. If he's hurt, tough luck. If he's ok, then I may want to keep 2 kickers. I don't feel comfortable with a rookie kicker, but if it's what we gotta do, we gotta do it and I'll hope like hell we strike gold.

At some point Folk is gonna miss a big, important kick, I know a veteran like Gramatica can shake it off, not sure how the rookie will do. Then again, Gramatica, being that he's hurt, will probably be available and healthy by that time (hopefully).

If you go with a rookie kicker you don't cut him b/c he misses a few kicks. That's part of his development

Who said anything about cutting him?

I agree with your roster except that I would keep NT Remi Ayodele instead of LB Alex Obomese and QB Matt Moore instead of OG Joe Berger.

We need more depth at NT than at LB and Obomese hasn't done anything to distinguish himself yet while Ayodele has looked good at times backing up Ferguson.

I also don't believe Moore will last on the practice squad and I would hate to lose him. Not that we necessarily need to keep 3 QBs but he would get picked up if we tried to sneak him through waivers. I would be happy to let Brad Johnson go instead if keeping 3 QBs was an issue. If we found ourselves in a bind and needed an emergency QB Johnson would probably still be available. Or we might even call Bledsoe out of retirement (God forbid!).

If Romo goes down Johnson isn't going to save the season any better than Moore could so why not go with the guy who has a future.

Gramatica isn't exactly the most reliable kicker around. His career average is 76.6%. Compare that with Ryan Lindell, (who we cut to go with Tim Seder in 2000) who has a career average of 79.5% and Lindell isn't exactly the best kicker in the league. Viniateri's average is 82.5%.

I am quite comfortable going with Folk instead of Gramatica. There is a reason why Gramatica was available in mid season last year.

Why does everyone forget the Colts game? Obomese had a sack and deflected the pass that Davis took for a TD...nothing?

Moore has had one game against scrubs...he will clear waivers and be on the PS...the attraction to this guy I just don't get, put down the kool aid...all reports said he has some upside, but struggled during TC.

You don't REPLACE a rookie kicker -- if you go with him you need to live with the good and bad. He's a kicker. He won't gain anything from watching. He needs to play to develop.

Also, people on this board are way too in love with Gramatica. He hit one big kick for us. Of course, he was only in position to take that kick because he'd missed another earlier in the game. He's just an average kicker.

Anderson is making the team. The guys who get claimed are the good special teams players.

Glymph is fading. He may not make the final roster. He certainly won't be on the team if Obomese is. If Ellis can play Week 1 then neither of those guys will be here.

An OLB who sucks may have the nominal title of "pass rusher" but practically, that isn't what he's doing.

Both Glymph and Obomese had their fates sealed the day Carpenter started taking snaps outside.

NT Ayodele in place of Bowen.

Glymph or Obamese at LB but not both.

Drop Berger off OL.

Add Anderson at FB.

Doubt we keep 10 DBs but whose odd man out?
Davis may be best ST we have but leaves much to be desired at either safety position. Elam also a very good ST but don't know if he any good at SS. Watkins has potential but hasn't shown much this year; very good ST. Reeves most experienced backup CB but definitely not a starter; good ST. Thomas needs work/makes mistakes, but is aggressive - can he improve w/coaching?

I still think we may end up cutting Austin IF we can get a good punt returner who can play a little bit of WR in a pinch. We may be able to get one via waivers.

Also, I'd guess we'd keep 2 FBs and only 9 OL. The fullbacks could also play Special Teams.

Not 100% about Remi as the back-up NT. I'd guess we'd keep him over Bowen for roster space, but I think we may locate someone more capable with the last cuts.

As for LBs, I also think that J Glymph may be in jeopardy of losing his spot.

I think we will likely move Austin in the next week. Jerry mentioned trade offers and you'd have to think Austin is one of the guys teams might throw a 7th round conditional pick out for

So it's gonna be like that, huh? Accuse people of being "in love" with him just cuz we're more comfortable with a veteran then a rookie?

Grow up.

We have the last 2-3 years, haven't we (not sure)?

I hope we do. I like Elam, Watkins, and KD.

I think it was just Watkins, Roy, Keith and Elam last year, Butler may have been on PS
