I have read on three Cowboy sites now that Jimmy was very animated in his post game commentary on this loss.

I was listening and reading here, so I wasn't paying strict attention.

However, I have seen several people post that they thought he was more angry than someone who is a talking head solely.

The insinuation is that Jimmy Johnson still has an emotional link to this team, and might consider coming back.

Now I think this is the steaming matter which falls from a tall bull's ***.

But because we are all sitting here thinking about what could have been.

Any shot he and Jerry might kiss and make-up if Parcells leaves?

Jimbo would not put up with any of the BS mental mistakes this team has.

And because he tends to be a front runner, he would only join a team that has a core of talented players.

So what do you think on this subject?

I think Jimmy sees a good young defense and an up and coming QB. He gets pissed because of the enormous potential and the lost opportunites because of lack of discipline. Jimmy never had discipline problems on his teams.

I could see Jimmy coming back because he see this team is close, very close.....and he could take them to the next step.

I found it odd that he blamed the loss on a lack of focus and discipline yet chose to blame TO rather than the the HC.

really strange.

Kind of like a guy who see's a good job coming up, but didn't want to shove somebody out the door:)

What if he comes back and is no more effective than Joe Gibbs returning to WA?
He has been gone from Dallas nearly as long as Gibbs was gone from the deadskins although he hasn't been gone from the game as long counting his stop in Miami.
There is no guarantee he would do any better in a return to Dallas than Gibbs has done in WA.
A couple of things that could cause him to come back; he loves the attention and he would love to stroke his own ego by taking a team Parcells couldn't win with and winning.
What better way to cement his place in NFL history?

Well, there are no gaurantees in anything. We thought we hit the jackpot when we signed Parcells but here we are four years later sitting around .500 rather than .320. Not all it was cracked up to be.

I thought it was a shot at Jerry for signing TO.
