If Trent can get over 250 i think he will be a middle 1st round pick. I can see him being a 3-4lber too. Right now if he gets picked in the first it will be one of the 3-4 teams at the end of the 1st round. Adds more weight and these 4-3 teams will bite.

Personally I think he is better suited to a 4-3 with his hand on the ground. He has ample room on is frame to play at 260 Imo and I have no doubt you will see him check I at the combine around that weight and still look chiseled

Last one ill do til right before the combine

Ill go with Dallas winning the coin toss as ive been doing, Dallas has no 6th round pick traded for Edgar Jones, and Dallas has a extra 7th in that same Edgar Jones trade and a extra 7th from the Bears for Rosario.
Im going to go with a trade down again. Cleveland taking Manziel and Mike Evans is avail. Evans and Gordon would be a outstanding duo and the right direction for the Browns. Dallas swaps RD1 picks and get Cle RD3 and RD5 pick
RD1(CLE) 26
Aaron Donald DT Pitt SR

3tech the Cowboys need. Needs to learn how to get off blocks to be effective in the nfl. Marinelli will be licking his chops.
RD2
Trent Murphy DE Stanford SR

Disruptive DE from both sides. Needs to add strength and some weight but he just gives you pressure on the QB.
RD3(CLE)
Kelcy Quarles DT South Carolina JR

Would be a perfect compliment to Donald. Bigger but still quick off the snap to get pressure on the QB.
RD3
Martavious Bryant WR Clemson JR

Tall WR with Speed. Vertical threat Dallas doesnt have. Can push TW for the start. Can play slot or outside allowing Dez to be moved to slot at times to create mismatches.
RD4
Jordan Trip LB Montana SR

Is a tackling machine who is always around the ball. Smart player and not affraid to rough people up. Was in a couple skirmishes after the snap in the SR Bowl.
RD5(CLE)
Chris Watt G Notre Dame SR

Big G who can get to the 2nd level and pull. Great depth and could push for a start if Leary or Mack come out slow.
RD5
Ben Gardner DL Stanford rSR

This guy is a Monster. Can play inside or outside. Actually think he's more NFL ready then Murphy.
RD7(CHI)
Aaron Colvin CB Oklahoma

Will not play in 2014, ACL injury, but should be a full go in 2015
RD7
Logan Thomas QB Virginia Tech

Athletic, tall and a cannon. Needs alot of development but there's no rush in Dallas.
RD7(KC)
Dontae Johnson DB North Carolina State

Can play S but NCS used him in the slot alot of the time covering bigger WRs.

Mongo like. Except Donald. Quarles is not always motivated but that can be remedied. Bryant might be very good. I don't know the rest that well. You need a LB in there and I'd like a S.

Good selections.
I like the trade ~ but with Jerry as the final say on player selections, I would be concerned.
Not quite sure I envision Jerry spending 3 of the first 4 picks on the DL. But, maybe Jerry will listen to others.

Substitute Bryant WR for Terrence Brooks FS, from Florida State in the 3rd round.

Logan Thomas ~ intriguing, his accuracy & touch needs work. By sitting a year or two, it might improve his mechanics. He has the prototypical size, though.
The Broncos drafter Osweiler in the 2nd round in 12' draft. Osweiler only started one year as ASU.
Logan Thomas has just as much upside as Osweiler. Hence, not quite sure Thomas be there in the 7th round.
In any event, Dallas needs to start drafting and/or preparing for Romo's successor.

Noway, Martavious is going to be beast. His height and speed are going to be a winner for a OC in the nfl. Think of a Alshon Jeffery type.

Fair enough.
However weighing the importance of the Safety position vs. Wide Receiver position for Dallas, upgrading the safety position should be the priority.
Granted, having depth at the WR is nice & a luxury.
But the safety position needs to be vastly improved.

This where people let their wants get in the way of what the coaches are saying. They have 2 S that they really like in Heath and Wilcox. They arent going to give up on them after one yr.

That's pretty much why this team sucks every year. Guys prove they can't play-and the FO refuses to accept it until it's too late.

What a dumb team

Yes, but i dont think the cowboys would. I dont think he would start over Carter, and Wilber looked really good at the end of the yr. I dont think Dallas drafts LBer or S high at all. Especially S. Dallas really likes Wilcox and Heath, and i dont think they give up on them after this yr. Wilcox looks like he has something that injury just slowed his progress. From what the radio guys at VR say is the coaches really like Heath. I just dont think they will quit on them after this yr especially with the lack of a passrush they had. When i do a mock i try to take that into account.

could be a smokescreen.
