Post Week 14 (2025): QB Combined Statistical Ranking

Those INTs didn't happen. I know it bothers you, but why do you follow this team since it does? Or are you an opposing team's fan posing as a Cowboys fan?
its only fair to count the picks that Dak did not get because the defender dropped them as it is to not blame him for the picks that the WRs contributed to; as well as you seem to be unable to talk about the great catches of badly thrown balls as well

Watching my QB throw two pick sixes amid 5 total INTs and having a fumble in there too. 6 total turnovers by one guy and two TD passes to the other team .. yeah that's gonna make me sick every time. Win or lose.
that is what you get for fixating on one player over a team

Thru 14 weeks of the 18 weeks...
We are through all the bye weeks, so leveler playing field, stats-wise

Weekly Disclaimer on this statistical ranking (unlike other rankings, no personal opinions)
This does NOT say which QB is "the best"....ONLY how they have played so far this year.

"Combined Stats" just means using two key stats that --when combined--almost always point to the QBs having the best season (the eventual All-Pros, MVPs, etc)

Those stats are:
1) Standard QB Passer Rating Rank
AND
2) TD-Turnover Differential Rank: Total TDs (Rushing and Passing) - Total Turnovers (Fumbles lost and Interceptions)

Here are the QB Rankings using Combined Stats thru Week 14:
  1. Stafford

This is heavily skewed towards running quarterbacks. Troy, Brady, Manning and many more of the greats were not running QB’s so the statement that “this only shows how they’ve played this year” is very misleading. But it get it. You’ll get a lot of likes from the haters although they will Karen over how high he’s ranked.

Name those badly thrown balls that were caught. Funny how y'all never show video to support your accusations.

fwiw....;over the course of a 17 game season, the dropped interceptions by the defense and the ones that should've been caught by the WRs tend to balance out.

But in a single game, it can skew the results....no doubt
Yeah I agree that they should not count and about it balancing out. Was just making a point.

Dak has the lowest bad throw percentage in the league so there really isn't that much to talk about is there? The other point about dropped interceptions vs dropped catches.. They are not the same.. DBs and LBs can't catch so it's far more expected that they will NOT catch the ball than a receiver. I don't know if anybody keeps stats on dropped INTs or INTs off receivers' hands/chests/facemasks. We do know that Dak has at least three of the latter this season. That's 4 of his 10 INTs off the receiver. Two in the last game and the one off Pickens in Chicago and the one off CeeDee against.. I can't remember who the opponent was for that one. These were NOT bad throws, or off target throws.. This was the receiver not securing the catch. Period. Do you have a list of the "great caches of badly thrown balls?"

You must just be having a bad day.
I'm not even sure what you're talking about here....you just sound...angry

Its NOT misleading at all. It correlates almost exactly to the league MVPs every year. or at least 22 of last 23. I'd say that matches "who is playing well that year"

In fact, every single time Manning or Brady won MVP they also finished top 2 in this combined stat.

Why would it get likes from the haters? Dak does really well in this normally...and he's doing pretty well again this year.

Also, this year, Stafford leads by a large margin. He's far from a running QB

Ironically, someone complained earlier in the thread that it gives TOO MUCH credit to passing QBs because it uses pure passer rating then also again includes passing TDs in the 2nd stat

I hate to bring it up but Tony Romo had a six turnover game at Buffalo in 2007. Five picks and a lost fumble. But Dallas won 25-24 on a walk off Nick Folk field goal.
I was there at that game - the Bills fans were brutal. That was a long FG for that time and Folk had to make it twice, because the first one didn't count as Buffalo had called a timeout.

Dallas has had about 25 games in its history where a QB had a differential of -4 (what Romo had that day) or worse.

That's the only time they won the game (unless I missed one from back the 50s or so)

Differential is a HUGE stat

I did what ever I wanted, when I was in school. Still do
you brother said he had to go to summer school for you. He felt bad that you have failed 8 grade 4 years in a row, but hey you were the cool kid who had his drivers license in elementary school and could buy beer legally. :p
