Post your surprise

Any Cowboys related surprise between now and game 4?

Don't include anything related to Micah.

Biggest cut surprises?

Surprise starters for game 1?

Shotty coach of the year?

Some of mine:

Safety Donovan Wilson cut.
-- That's 6M they don't have to pay.

LB Clark starts (in 3 LB sets).

CB Zion Childress is the Nickel CB.

OG Booker is the 2nd best OG in the NFL thru 4 games.

LT Nathan Thomas starts game 1.
- Guyton not enough practice time after recovering from injury.

QB Grier cut.
- Stays on practice squad for 3 games then signed to 53.
- Active ps call- up on game days.

One or both of Booth and Mukuamu cut.

Pickens and CeeDee top WR duo in first goalie.

For fun:
Milton completes 70% of passes in the final preseason game.
- OK, just joking on this one...

Milton is the backup QB for game 1 but only used for Tush-Push plays.
- Makes highlight reel for doing backflip over the entire OL/DL on 4th and 1 at the goalline.
Biggest surprise cut: Mazi Smith. He sucks we know but a 1st round pick who just plain sucks only in his 3rd year. Jonses dont have balls to make such a move.

Surprise starter? Winfrey over Mazi.

Schotty will not be coach of the year.

Booker will not be 2nd best guard in NFL. But he will be on all rookie team and solid player.

Grier, Holden and Sanders to PS.

Tolbert traded for a 4th and 7th round pick.

Micah traded for 2 1sts, 2nd and 3rd, 4th round picks and couple of players to GB or Denver.

If Micah is not traded then Sam Williams traded for a DT...in a player swap.

Mazi will start. They will split time. Mazi comes out on 3rd down obviously passing situations.

It does. It matter if he sucks. We don't have anyone better and history shows we will not be adding anyone that is a significant improvement.

Mazi's contract is guaranteed. Easy decision.

Solomon Thomas got the starters treatment.

Mazi can't play.

Yeah. Unfortunately as much as I want him cut it's not what Jones does. He doesn't like dead cap because to him it's paying for a position twice. So Mazinis here through next year.

Wasting money cutting Mazi, to just pay more money to sign a new Mazi is point less.

Wilkins has some strange off the field things going on involving ex-teammates. Until that gets figured out no team is going near him.
We have a lot of strange things going on.

I am surprised Minnesota has not picked him up yet. :muttley:

True that. Jerry never signs anyone of significance unless there is financial gains behind it. Pickens is not a superbowl move. It was and is purely a financial and marketing move

Pickens is for entertainment purposes and I will enjoy watching him play, especially if Dak has some time to throw the ball.

How long before CD and GP are fighting over the football?

You want a surprise?

Dallas signs Micah Parsons, DaRon Bland, and Tyler Smith to extensions all on the same day.

Okay I am done. Comedy has never been my strong point. Moving on.....

This is the exact reason you hold preseason games more for the players you don't know then the veterans because some of these guys like Houston and I'm even looking at I think it's 45 Fairweather the tight end I mean I hope Im not getting a little ahead of myself but these guys earn their spots because of these preseason games.... I mean is it me or does Fairweather look like the real deal again it could just be preseason against lesser talent, but he looks like he needs a roster spot..

The some of the rookies showed out like Blue, Mafah Etc and some other guys took a next step I think Flournoy the receiver he he actually has been getting better.. Nate Thomas , who knew?

It would surprise me Dak doesn't throw an interception in Week 1.
Dak was 2nd in the entire NFL in TD to INT ration year before last. He’s always been one of the better QB’s at limiting interceptions. So you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Dak Prescott ranks among the top quarterbacks of all time for his touchdown-to-interception ratio, often cited as being in the top 10. As of late 2024, StatMuse data placed him around 5th or 7th all-time in passing TD/INT ratio, depending on the specific data set and time frame referenced.

Will be top 10 all time meaning in the NFL not just the Cowboys yeah these people think because 2022 he had a few extra interceptions somehow he's interception prone but they sweep it under the rug that Matthew Stafford led the league in interceptions and threw two interceptions in the Super Bowl and yes wearing a ring because of his team just happened to be all in great...

Most fans have no idea what they are even watching and the NFL wants it to remain that way.

To properly watch a football game you have to see the entire field. The NFL has programmed fans to just follow the football. This is why they think QB's carry the team, because he the camera basically follows them around.

We should be watching football from endzone to endzone, not sideline to sideline.

When you see posts like that one, you immediately know that you can ignore anything they say. Same with the Dak haters. You can ignore them all because they’re all wrong. They’re just incapable of knowing it.
