John Murphy, of Yahoo Sports, reports Denver Broncos WR Ashley Lelie has been mentioned as part of a potential three-team trade involving the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots, according to a league source. Lelie would go the Patriots while the Broncos would receive Falcons RB T.J. Duckett and Patriots TE Daniel Graham. The Falcons would receive draft choices from both teams. Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan has denied there is a trade in the works involving Lelie.

if true looks like a trade that can work for all parties involved.

So here is what Adam S. was talking about the other night.

The Broncos would make out in that trade. Graham and Duckett? Good deal.

And of course, don't the Broncos owe the Falcons something for brokering the John Abraham trade?

Yeah I though Denver was coming out the best in that deal too. I wonder if they have to throw someone else in with Lelie. I guess it depends on the draft picks.

Impossible to judge the feasibility of this without knowing what the draft picks are.

Who does Atlanta have at RB besides Dunn & Duckett? I wouldn't think they could afford to give up Duckett right now.

I'm skeptical at this point.

you'd think ATL would be after Lelie.

They already have two first round WRs underachieving. Why would they add a third in Lelie?

No way, no shape, no how. Duckett is good but nowhere near 2k good. Not even behind Denver's line.

Atlanta drafted an excellent running back, Jerious Norwood, this year. Jerious runs a 4.33 40 and appears to be doing extremely well. Most Atlanta fans consider Duckett a bit of a failure in Mora's offensive system. He was okay in Dan Reeve's..

I had proposed we trade Greg Ellis for TJ Duckett, half in jest.

Atlanta runs the same system and he didn't do so hot.

If Atlanta fan's current opinions are correct, Duckett has no "second gear", is not a very good receiver, and mailed in his last 5 games the previous year.

Of course, your grandma could run for 1000 in Shanahan's offense.

He doesn't appear to be a fit to the offense Mora runs. He seemed to be the "heir apparent" when Dan was running the show.

A change of scenery would help Duckett a lot. But he's not egotistical enough to ask for it himself.

TJ Duckett in the Denver system would probably be a beast!

I don't know, the reason TJ is on the block in ATL is because of the zone-blocking scheme, same one that is being coached by Alex Gibbs, who used to coach...you guessed it, Denver's line, his main problem with it was being patient, allowing the blocks to develop

Yeah, but I think I'd place part of that blame on the underachieving, totally overrated first round QB they have as well.
