Power Running or Romo Ball

A successful running game is the most effective way to take the heart out of a defense. It also opens up big plays in the passing game.

Romo was not a MVP candidate until we started running the ball. Finished second in voting in fact one season and didnt even throw for 4000 yards.

he was right there in 07 but brady went nuts that year. We didn't run the ball that well that year.

QB and WR1 both have injury concerns, so if what we did against the Rams wasn't just a one-off, that would be exactly what this team needs right now.

Until last Sunday, the offense hadn't had a lot of success with the run-heavy approach.

What is wrong with Dak? Bleeding under his nail from jamming his finger? He seemed to be fine.

Cooper said last week he is as healthy as he has been all year.

I always loved watching Emmitt however a gun slinging quarterback is way more fun to watch imo. Nothing beats watching Farve in his prime. Romo was also fun to watch.

Agree with those numbers but if the defense is giving up the easy pass, increase those passing numbers as needed

a bit of both.. have balance. There will be moments teams can slow or stop the run and then Dak has to be able to take advantage.. against some of the better defenses of late, Dak has not.. he needs to rewrite that narrative and win this game when the moment comes..

KM failed to find this balance, he was super pass happy way to often or the opposite and played games like NO where he just ran into walls all day or run on first down..

its about finding a nice balanced approach as the game unfolds and adjust accordingly, it will keep the defense honest..

the biggest thing we need to do in this game is no stupid penalty's or turnovers, on the road those are like worth double to the opponent..

Before I start Romo Ball is not in anyway a negative comment towards Tony . Air Coryell could also be used as well as Smash mouth over power running for anyone who may take offense .

Im sure hoping we go with the power running and turn back time again to 2016 that was some great football to watch last week and covers all our weaknesses.

Romo Ball put up a bunch of meaningless stats and got us beat 3 games in a row .

We “found our identity” against the Rams. Amazed that we ever lost it lol... power running and a high efficiency passing game has won this team a lot of games

To me— it all starts up front this week. Zeke needs to be fed consistently. But that only opens things up for some play-action strikes down the field against a mediocre Philly secondary

true but you cant bang your head into a concrete wall all day, if a team finds a way to stop the running game early like the Saints, Dak and the pass game must back those defenders off or we will have long day.. balance..Dak needs to have game that is big time where he takes over... this would be a good time..

but yes run zeke and pollard in many different ways is a good plan to start..the eagles wont lay down on the road we will get their best game.

The Cowboys weren't run-heavy against LAR, and the offense worked because of the passing game. The running game was effective off of that.

First half passing - 17 attempts, 160 yards
First half rushing - 22 attempts, 118 yards

Given the number of snaps inside the 5, this isn't run heavy. The run game worked because they ran when it was advantageous, not because they found their identity, imposed their will, or whatever other cliche.

Last week was a replica of the 2016 season. The playcalling was excellent and we did not even need to throw deep. Dak made plays on 3rd down. We had very few penalties.
