Having depth is critical esp with parity these days. And it's something we haven't had in abundance like since forever it seems. Miles is a beast esp in the slot. Having a healthy Austin makes this team's offense better with him on the field. But I agree with others about his health. We gotten to the point we can't trust him being out there and having that burst necessary to go after a ball. It doesn't matter how good you are if you can't get on the field or you're not healthy enough to be the same guy.

Williams showed you the speed that brought him here. You need two speedy WRs in the vertical offense who can spread the field vertically opening up the middle and underneath. We haven't had that for awhile. Miles is probably not quite as fast as Williams when he's healthy but he's not too far behind. Dez ain't shabby either.

If he can't play X number of snaps this year healthy enough to make plays then we need to make a big decision.

Miles is important to us. I'm happy with the performance Williams and Beasley had, but Miles can contribute to this team. A week ago Williams was a horrible pick and now he's getting the love from posters?

I like Miles and I think he can and will help but I hope they still keep Beasley active with Austin's return.

Beasley should be Romo's new BFF when it comes to 3rd down conversions. Gets open quick and has velcro for hands. He can be the blitz killer for this team.

I wasn't a big fan of him like some here but after seeing him play in real games, I'm impressed.

im curious to know how much cap space that would create? but im no cap expert.

I think we restructured all of those deals so cutting them wouldn't create room.

I know Miles contract is by far the worst. He's probably going to be here a few more years which isn't a bad thing if he could stay on the field.

No offense to Miles, but I don't want to see plays taken away from Beasley or Williams at this point.

Those guys are locked and loaded and we don't need to worry every play about Miles not being able to give full effort out there because of those damaged hammies.

We scored 48 without him

I think Harris drops the last two weeks will cost him playing time at wr.

Beasley will probably find more snaps than him.

Williams has the speed to stretch the field miles doesn't that have that ability anymore. If you want to keep the double teams off of Dez, Williams will need to play a prominent role on this team. Miles, imo, is a possession receiver now with the hammy problem. Depth is a good thing though.

You think Cowboys activate 5 WRs (Dez, Austin, Williams, Beasley, Harris)? Who becomes the returner if Harris is inactive and Dunbar out? Not sure I want Beasley returning kickoffs, he could be obliterated at his size. That would leave Cowboys with 3 injured slot receivers. Not worth it IMO.

Good, I'll take as many weapons as we can get.

Why not.

He doesn't need to rush it.

For once I'd like him playing in December and helping the team down the stretch.

I'm not sure I can recall him playing late into a seaon because his hammies tweak.

Ugh.

Miles is talented, his hammies are not....the guy finds a way to get open when his legs allow him to do so...he is valuable to the team and hurtful to the cap if cut/traded/not here in 2014 as some are suggesting

personally, I am happy that he is getting back in there...it was nice to see the kids do well last week, but they are not currently better than Austin (when healthy)

I'm with you. I think it's great news he's back. We need all the depth we can get.

Glad he is getting back to practice. When healthy, he is our second best outside receiver and best slot receiver.

This site is schizophrenic .
I have heard it all this season.
Miles is great, Miles sucks.
Monte is great, Monte sucks.
Cowboys are great, Cowboys suck.

It literally changes every week.

That is because Cowpeople fans are dumb. Or bipolar.

Or both.

WIlliams really seems to have the ability to get open deep, he also has some Jets to leave defenders in the dust. He did it a lot in college. I say keep him in there and at the end of the season if we do somehow qualify for the playoffs he will have a full season of experience under his belt. The better of Austin, Beasley, and Harris can be in the slot.
