Guys I know that year we had 2 1st and got D Ware but we also got M Spears Chris Canty Kevin Burnett Jay Ratliff and MBIII we infused our D that year with youth

We really only need 3 players to go from a less than average defense to kicking azz. IMO

A pass rusher that can bring the heat.
A stud CB that can cover opponents no 1 receiver and get an occasional turnover
A Stud SS that is a ball hawk and not a liability against the run. (Eric berry type)

If we add these 3 ingredients and Jaylon Smith heals we will be fearsome.

I wouldn't mind it but we are already pretty good against the run and if we get the Pass rushing DE we need we can put Tyrone Crawford back at DT where he belongs and that will help the up the middle pressure. We could even use David Irving there too but it is all predicated on getting the Pass rushing DE.
