Really?
You would feel the same if it was Zeke, Dakota, Lee, Witten or Dez?How is this a problem?
He's gotta get there on his own. If I've got millions, I'm not sweating a non-required charter if I have other stuff to deal with
I went out with a girl from Columbia a few times.I know a tailor from panama

LoL,,,fredbeard wouldn't know how to act if he cut that badassed beard off,,, just from all the newfound acknowledgement of people in general, as when you sport one like his the general populace tend to just dismiss you .
Well, yeah.
Coming on the charter is not required.
If I'm a millionaire and it's $1000 or something to fly commercial and I value the extra time, why wouldn't I do that?
"The plane, the plane"
Because you're on a team. And teams fly together. What's next, players flying commercially to games? Not that this is as big a deal, but it is a small symptom of a bigger discipline problem IMO.

Your post is a symptom of unfounded hatred for JG. A guy missing something that is not required, that's all of a sudden an issue?
It is quite reasonable to not require guys to take the charter. Some don't live in Dallas in the off-season, some have stuff to take care of before camp starts. Sitting on a plane together doesn't make you a team. Particularly since almost half the guys flying are getting cut
During the season and after reporting to TC yes....but to get to TC, then not such a big deal. As long as they are there on time. I can see the philosophy of all or most flying together. Then there are no concerns. but a few players missing, it is not the end of the world nor will it cost them a SB.
But a bigger discipline problem...no way, I disagree with your opinion IMO. not for players that have not had any issues in the past.
Now if Ro McClain was still on the team, and he missed, yes a big concern....but for Irving or McFadden...it happens to the best of us....
The flaw in your argument is that McFadden MISSED the charter flight. He was scheduled to fly with the team (see below). But he couldn't get there on time. Not that he advised the team he was making other plans (like Scandrick who lives in LA). Just like Dez and Irving couldn't get to the conditioning test on time. Not the biggest deal, but IMO it's symptomatic of a lack of discipline from the top down to the coach to the players.

He planned to make the flight. Something changed and he responsibly notified the team he was making other plans.
In grown up world, sometimes things come up that require our attention. Missing a non-required event is sometimes a sacrifice adults need to make.

In my grown up world, when multiple employees don't show up for work on time, and others misbehave outside of work and reflect poorly on the business, the manager gets fired...
Yeah, except what McFadden did is the equivalent of not making it to the company picnic.
We had two people late and don't know the circumstances. But hey, fire the boss because no excuse is a legitimate excuse.
Belichick -- GOATSome of us are enablers, some are not. Not many players are late for conditioning tests or flights on Bill Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Bellichick teams.
