Predict breakout players next year

Thought it would be fun to see who everyone, from actually watching the games thinks will "breakout" next year.

My number 1 guy, one that I think is wildly underrated for what he did last year and the player he will be is Akin Ayodele. He was a monster at filling gaps and hitting people, particularly in the 2nd half of the year once he started understanding schemes. Very physical player, if it were decided to move Carp inside, I'd want to try him outside simply because he's been a rush player before and again, he plays physically.

I also expect Crayton to have a big year. But I've been thinking that for 2 years now, so we will see. I see Hines Ward in him.

And not a breakout, but I think you will see a healthy Henry return to the form that made him what many dubbed the best player on D for the first half of his first year and a good player until he got hurt last year. I have ZERO desire to see a quality big CB move to FS. We have a physical corner and a speed corner, I think that is ideal.

Nothing mind boggling, just what I think. What about you all?

I think Jason Hatcher will have a big year.

Newman will be a force once he has a front 7 that will be able to bring pressure to the QB and make him throw sloppy.

Carp, Hatcher, Spears, Ratliff

I predict they will combine to produce 23-25 sacks next year

I'd like to see Abram Elam and Pat McQuistan have breakout years.

I'd also like to see Julius Jones have a monster year, but then I want a lot of things.

Carpenter and Hatcher. Will we see an increase in sacks for Ware, yes we will. The thing I want to see, is how, if, the production of Merriman will decrease without Phillips there in SD. [sorry don't want a Merriman vs. Ware thread]. But it will be interesteing to see.

Crayton in his role, you can not say if he will have a breakout year. That, to me can not be determined as a 3rd and slot WR. His year will depend on his role in the offense and on the production of Glenn and Owens.

I think we will see Julius play the way we all hoped he would.

I think Pat Watkins could have a great season if there is a good pass rush. The guy should be an animal going for passes that float when the QB is pressured.

if Wade can get just any 4 or 5 of our guys on defense who have been in a deep sleep (James, Canty, Spears, Burnett, etc) due to the dumb scheme BP used to play 'lights out' next year, I suspect our defense will be talked about in the same light as the Ravens , Chargers and Bears

Pat Watkins and Marion Barber. Some people might say Marion Barber already had a reallly good year with his touchdowns but I'm talking yardage and playing time.
